Nick and Sarah live together in Liverpool, but their relationship remains out of the public eye.
They have been dating for several years and Sarah was the first member of the family to travel to Australia last week to support Nick.
She told MailOnline she begged family and friends to vote for the soap star in his first Bushtucker trial.
“I haven’t seen him in the Bushtucker trial yet, and all my friends and family are asking, ‘What should we do?’ And I keep saying: “Vote! Vote” and people say you shouldn’t vote for him, but I think we do! I think he’ll like it,” she said.
Nick is Hollyoaks’ longest-serving soap actor – playing Tony Hutchinson for 28 years – and Sarah said: “It’s nice that people see him as Nick as well as Tony.” But you haven’t seen it all yet.
“I’ve wanted him to do this for years. He’s very competitive and a good team player, so I’ve always said that of all the things he can do, I’m a Celebrity would suit him best.”
“I’m very surprised that I didn’t see him hysterical from hunger. He is the most positive and cheerful person you will ever meet, but don’t mess with him and his food.
“When people go to Trials, he says, ‘Don’t worry if you don’t get all the stars,’ but I know inside he’s like, ‘You gotta get all the stars.’

She told MailOnline: “I’ve had people send me messages saying Nick is a heartthrob. It’s a surprise to me, well it’s not a surprise to me because I think he’s great, but he has a whole new following.”

“I said I agreed, but I said, ‘Please, less weird,'” she joked.
“Then she private messaged me and must have seen that my Instagram was supporting him and said, ‘Oh, are you a fan?’
