Laura Byrne admitted she “cheated on” her husband Matty “Jay” Johnson during a humiliating ordeal at an event she attended this week.
The former Bachelor star, 37, who married Matt five years after meeting on the Channel 10 dating show, revealed she lovingly rubbed the other man’s back.
Speaking on the Life Uncut podcast, Laura’s co-host Brittany Hockley criticized her for the move.
“You cheated on Matt… You tried to cheat on Matt,” Brittany, 36, said.
Laura explained that the moment was completely accidental and assured her listeners that she truly believed she was touching her husband.

“We’re standing there, Matt was wearing a gray suit. He looked sharp, handsome,” she recalled.
“I was talking to someone and I stuck my hand out and saw Matt, and I was rubbing Matt’s back.
“Anyway, that’s when I felt Matt looking at me… But looking at me in a way that didn’t seem normal from my periphery.”
Laura said that when she finally turned around, she discovered that she wasn’t rubbing Matt’s back at all, but in fact another Bachelor star who was wearing a very similar outfit.

“I was rubbing Tim Robards’ back!” she exclaimed.
“Coincidentally, the wrong Bachelor was standing next to me and I was just rubbing him.”
Laura said she doesn’t know the Bachelor star “very well” – Tim starred in the first season of The Bachelor Australia in 2013 and married his lady love Anna Heinrich five years later.
“I’ve only met him twice,” Laura continued. “And I just massaged in circles… For more than a minute. It was an unpleasantly long time.
Laura’s co-host Brittany Hockley called her out for her actions: “You cheated on Matt… You tried to cheat on Matt.”
Laura and Matt married last year in a stunning ceremony at the Capitt Estate near Mollymook on the NSW south coast.
“I think he thought I was doing it on purpose. And then he looked at me like, “Are you right?”
Fans of The Bachelor will remember how Laura and Matty met back in 2017 and got engaged in 2019.
Two years later, the loving couple started a family with the birth of their first child, daughter Marlee Mae.
In February 2021, Laura gave birth to her second daughter, Lola Ellis.
The couple married last November in a stunning ceremony at Capitta Estate near Mollymook on the NSW south coast.
Bachelor fans will remember when Laura and Matty met back in 2017. Two years later, the loving couple started their family when their first child, daughter Marlee Mae, was born. Laura gave birth to her second daughter, Lola Ellis, in February 2021.
