Crime Squad detectives are investigating whether the knife attack on notorious former Hells Angels bikie Dane Brajkovich was an act of retaliation.
Brajkovic, 44, was stabbed in the neck about 9.50pm on Friday as people were leaving the Ministry of Sound Classical EDM concert at Perth’s Queen’s Park and Botanic Gardens.
Police said he suffered a “severe laceration to his neck” as a result of the attack and was rushed to the Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) for emergency surgery.

Detective Senior Sergeant Anthony Thompson addressed the media on Saturday afternoon, confirming they believed it was a targeted attack.
“At this stage we believe the incident is the result of internal disputes between the Hells Angels and a former member,” Detective Senior Sergeant Thompson said.
“The parties involved are known to each other, and the possibility that this incident is the result of retaliation is certainly an area we are investigating.”
Brajkovic was reportedly kicked out of the Hells Angels in January 2022 after he allegedly assaulted the club’s then-president.
He was seen leaving RPH early Saturday morning with his wife Jacinta and a large bandage around his throat before his vehicle was followed by a police officer.
Senior Sergeant Thompson said investigators must have considered it appropriate to remove Brajkovic from the public area.
“We do have ongoing concerns about his safety, but also anyone who has considered assaulting a victim should reconsider this as we are taking a number of measures to ensure his safety and ensure that anyone who assaults him is dealt with appropriately recorded,’ he said.
Shortly after the attack, a group of people were seen leaving Kings Park on motorbikes.
The 44-year-old former Hells Angel bikie required emergency surgery for wounds to his neck.
Detective Senior Sergeant Thompson said “immature outbursts of violence” would have “serious consequences”.
“If you, as an outlaw motorcycle gang, decide to become violent in the community, we will legally restrict your behavior as a result because we don’t want members of the public to be put at greater risk,” he said.
