Emily Atack rocks her baby bump as she makes her first red carpet appearance since announcing her pregnancy at the Vanity Fair Rising Star party

Emily Atack cradled her growing baby bump as she made her first red carpet appearance since announcing her pregnancy on Wednesday night.

The actress, 34, who is expecting her first born in April 2024 with her partner Dr. Alistair Garner, posed for photos at the star-studded Vanity Fair EE Rising Star Party.

With a hand on her stomach at the Four Seasons Hotel, she was every inch the glowing mother-to-be in a plunging black dress.

Emily completed her look with strappy heels and carried a small satin clutch bag and accessorized with silver rings.

The Inbetweeners star styled her hair in tousled waves and opted for a very subtle makeup look.

She joined guests including Frankie Bridge, Katherine Ryan and Vick Hope at the annual star-studded bash.

The event was to celebrate the only category at the EE BAFTA Film Awards voted for by the public. The BAFTAS will be held on February 18.

Emily announced that she was expecting her first child and ‘over the moon’ to become a mother in December.

Although they have not been made public, Emily is dating nuclear scientist Dr. Alistair Garner, who is also her step-cousin.

The actress has known Alistair for nearly three decades, as her mother Kate Robbins is the sister of Alistair’s stepmother Jane Garner.

They were introduced after Emily’s aunt started dating Alistair’s father Stephen Garner in the early nights before they married in 1994.

Alistair, who is a nuclear scientist, appears in a photo of the close-knit family in 2017, surrounded by female members of Emily’s family and with his arm draped around the star’s sister, Martha.

A source said: ‘Emily and Alistair have become close over the last 12 months. It was unexpected, but their family is happy for them. They are a great couple and everyone is excited about their new arrival.’

Announcing the happy news, Emily wrote on Instagram: ‘Hi everyone, it’s been a while but I’m back with some news. I am excited to share with you all that we are having a baby!!

‘I have never been so happy and completely terrified at the same time. Take it easy on me.

‘Every day is mixed with excitement, fear, joy, hysteria, topped off with a lot of vomit – a bit like when you’ve just stepped out of Oblivion at Alton Towers on a hangover.

‘I’ve gotten to know my body on such an insane level. It has made me appreciate the one I got SO much, I am doing my absolute best to make it a home for the little squid I am growing.

‘We can already sense that the child is reclining on a mattress with peanut butter and jam in there and demanding more chocolate buttons.

‘I am so happy to write all this to you all. You have always stuck with me over the years, keep watching me enter my mom era. Christ. Let’s go.’

A friend told me The sun: ‘Emily is delighted with the happy news and has been happy to tell family and close friends about her little one on the way.

‘It’s the perfect end to her year and she’s over the moon.

‘Emily is more than ready to become a mother, and it’s something she’s dreamed of all her life. Her relationship with Alistair has gone from strength to strength and they have moved in together.

‘Family is everything to her – she comes from a big one herself and is really close to all her siblings – so she can’t wait to start one of her own. They have all gathered around her and rejoiced at the joyous occasion.’

Her celebrity friends were quick to take to the comments section of her Instagram post to share their congratulations to the star.

Oti Mabuse gushed: ‘Yesssssss!!!!’ while Giovanni Fletcher wrote: ‘Congratulations your beautiful human! xxxx’

Denise Van Outen commented: “Congrats xxx wonderful news,” and Ashley Roberts said: “Aww congrats chica!!”

Kimberley Walsh wrote: ‘Oh fantastic news! Huge congratulations!’ while Stacey Dooley also shared her well wishes.

Emily was spotted cozying up to handsome nuclear scientist Alistair in London in September.

The star beamed as she walked the streets of the British capital with Alistair, who describes himself on LinkedIn as a materials scientist and electron microscopist specializing in nuclear and aerospace applications.

The pair were spotted walking hand-in-hand around town as they enjoyed the sunny day before settling down at a cafe together.

An onlooker told The sun: ‘Emily was deep in conversation with Alistair. She had a cocktail and Alistair ordered a beer. Emily looked like she was having fun and couldn’t stop smiling. As they left, they held hands.’

Emily had been single since splitting with her former Big Brother star and tree surgeon ex-boyfriend, Liam McGough, last year.

They sparked rumors that they were back together in July after spending the evening with some friends.

But the couple’s friends said they were just good friends.

Liam was a housemate in the 2007 series of Big Brother when he finished third, losing to winner Brian Belo.

Emily has previously been linked to a number of men including singer Harry Styles, comedian and former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Seann Walsh and footballer Jack Grealish.

TV star and Manchester City footballer Jack is said to have enjoyed a secret six-week fling while still dating girlfriend Sasha Attwood – something the couple have vehemently denied.
