“BEAUTY,” commented actress Jamie Lee Curtis.
‘To beautiful BADASS,’ wrote Law & Order star Mariska Hargitay.
“Greatest friend,” noted Jessica Seinfeld.
It comes months after Schumer sparked concern online after her face looked unusually swollen and puffy during a televised appearance.
Schumer appeared as a guest on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon back in February — but a clip quickly went viral on social media, and doctors online weighed in on what may have caused her face to look the way it did.
She responded to the speculation by opening up about her struggles with endometriosis and an autoimmune disease – before eventually revealing she had Cushing’s syndrome.
The star said she found out she had Cushing’s syndrome while promoting season two of her show Life & Beth after speculation about her appearance helped her realize “something was wrong.”
‘It’s been a crazy couple (of) weeks for me and my family. Apart from the fear for my health, I also had to be on camera and have the internet buzzing in. But thank God for that. Because that’s how I realized something was wrong,’ she said Jessica Yellins news not noise newsletter.
Cushing’s syndrome is a disorder that occurs when your body makes too much of the hormone cortisol (known as the stress hormone) over a long period of time.
Symptoms can include weight gain on the face and body, a fat lump between the shoulders, pink or purple stretch marks, fragile skin and more.

Schumer appeared as a guest on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon back in February – but a clip quickly went viral on social media with doctors asking the public, ‘What happened to Amy’s face?’
Treatment for Cushing’s syndrome is designed to lower the amount of cortisol in the body and depends on the cause of the syndrome, according to the Mayo Clinic.
Amy explained her journey to finding out her diagnosis: ‘While I was doing taping on camera for my Hulu show, I was also in MRI machines for four hours at a time, having my veins shut down from the amount of blood , who was taken out and thought I might not be around to see my son grow up.’
“So to find out that I have the kind of Cushing’s that just resolves and I’m healthy was the best news imaginable.”
When asked why she decided to share her ‘personal medical information,’ Schumer said she wants to ‘advocate for women’s health.’
‘The shaming and criticism of our ever-changing bodies is something I’ve dealt with and witnessed for a long time.’

‘I so want women to love themselves and be relentless as they fight for their own health in a system that usually doesn’t believe in them.’
She added that her diagnosis ‘is a good example of how we never know what happens to someone.’
‘Everyone struggles with something. Maybe we can all be a little kinder to each other and ourselves.’
Before revealing her Cushing’s syndrome diagnosis, Schumer responded to the online speculation about her face on Instagram.
Taking to Instagram on February 15, the star detailed her battle with endometriosis and autoimmune disease – but said she still felt ‘strong and beautiful’ amid her health issues.
She wrote: ‘Thank you so much for everyone’s input on my face! I have enjoyed feedback and considerations about my appearance, as all women do, for almost 20 years. And you’re right, it’s more swollen than usual right now.
“Apart from the fear for my health, I also had to be on camera and have the internet buzzing in. But thank God for that. Because that’s how I realized something was wrong.”
‘I have endometriosis, an autoimmune disease that every woman should read about. There are some medical and hormonal things going on in my world right now, but I’m okay.
“Historically, women’s bodies have barely been examined medically compared to men’s. The book “all in the head” does a good job of explaining this. I also believe that a woman needs no excuse for her physical appearance and owes no explanation.
‘But I wanted to take this opportunity to advocate for self-love and acceptance of the skin you’re in. Like any other woman/person, some days I feel confident and good as hell, and others I want to put a bag over my head .
“But I feel strong and beautiful and so proud of this TV show that I created. Wrote. Starred in and directed. Maybe just maybe we can focus on it a little bit.
‘I had backup dancers on Fallon but my face is the headline hahaha anyway I hope you enjoy life and Beth. Love and solidarity. Amy.’
