Dallas police respond to a shooting at Wilmer Hutchins High School.

A heavy police presence was seen at the school shortly before noon along with several ambulances.

Early reports indicate that at least one person was shot, but their condition is unknown. A suspect was reportedly arrested.

Dallas ISD said in a tweet after noon that “all students and team members are safe” at the school.

Sources told local WFAA that a suspect was arrested after they saw him running toward the school’s football field.

Dallas ISD, the school district, said it has initiated a ‘safety protocol’ and several concerned parents have been seen racing to campus.

The school district asked people to remain off campus while police are on the scene.
