The girlfriend of Keith Miller III, who was found dead earlier this week, has revealed a heartbreaking tattoo honoring the late college football star.

The Texas A&M-Commerce wide receiver was found dead near campus Thursday night, according to a news release from the school.

The football star’s shocking death sparked an outpouring of grief from loved ones, former teammates and coaches, as well as the Dallas community.

His girlfriend, Caila Jae, claimed that “Keith was mentally fighting something that neither I nor even his mother could help him with.”

Now, after his death, Jae has a permanent reminder of Miller on the back of her leg.

She had ‘KM3’ tattooed on her body along with the words: ‘I would have given you the world… but you got Heaven instead.’

Jae also posted a photo of Miller with the message: ‘I keep waking up expecting to talk to you.’

Earlier this week, she wrote on social media: ‘I have done everything I could as his partner to try to help him during his battle, but in the end God had the final say.

‘Keith baby I forgive you and I love you in this life and the next. Please continue to pray for the family and for me I really appreciate all the support.’

Minnesota Vikings star Mekhi Blackmon donated $1,000 to a GoFundMe campaign dedicated to the late Texas A&M-Commerce recipient.

Shortly after the news of his death appeared, a collection was launched with all funds ‘going to funeral costs, family support and directly to his young son’.

The description read: ‘Your generosity can make a world of difference in this challenging time. Thank you for your kindness and compassion.’

More than 160 people have donated to the cause at the time of writing, with Blackmon’s donation matched by former Colorado Buffaloes basketball player McKinley Wright.

As of Saturday night, the campaign had raised nearly $15,000 of its $30,000 goal.
