Easyjet statement after Vicky Pattison was banned from flying to her dream wedding venue in Italy due to passport violations
EasyJet has issued a statement after Vicky Pattison revealed she was banned from flying to her dream wedding venue in Italy after breaching passport rules.
The former reality star, 36, took to Instagram to lash out at the airline after they turned her off a flight on Sunday.
Vicky is due to tie the knot with fiance Ercan Ramadan in September and was due to travel to Italy this week to plan her wedding but was dramatically denied boarding due to her dog chewing and slightly damaging her documentation.
An easyJet spokesman told MailOnline: ‘We apologize for Pattison’s experience and the inconvenience. At easyJet, we work closely with the authorities and comply with their guidance to ensure the safety of all passengers and staff.
“As such, we cannot allow any passengers to travel on their scheduled flight with documentation damaged to such an extent that its authenticity is called into question”.

Vicky had taken to her social media earlier in the day to say she was heading home to ‘cry’ after the ordeal.
Furious, she wrote: ‘Thought we were going to see our wedding venue today, we were so excited..
‘I rushed back from Newcastle, packed at midnight last night and jumped into bed and got 3 hours of sleep… But I didn’t mind because we were going to our menu and tasting @ercan_ram.
‘Only to have the @easyiet staff turn me away.. I’ve been traveling with my passport all year and no one has said anything but it’s certainly been well traveled to be fair. Company policy is company policy and I get it, I’m just beyond cleansed you know??
‘My wedding planner, her assistant, my florist, everyone’s heading out… X And I’m just heading home… to have a really good cry I guess.
‘All the wasted money, how hard it was for me to get time off, how excited we were, how I wasted everyone’s time.. I’m just really sorry I guess.’
She shared a photo of her passport and added: “This is what was wrong with my passport because everyone asked, in fairness I don’t know if it’s really bad or not, I just haven’t had anyone ever tell me it was before.. cheeky little milo butt.

‘Think rather than waste my glam, I’ll take some new passport photos and then cry…’
Vicky ended her series of posts with a screenshot from an online form asking how her passport had been damaged.
She wrote in the reply box, “My dog chewed a little on the side,” adding in her caption to fans, “@easyjet, you ruin of dreams, you.”

Reflecting on the night, Vicky later wrote that she was relieved the incident happened now and not at her actual hen or the wedding itself.
Taking to Instagram Stories, she wrote: ‘So I know today didn’t go as planned and I’m sorry about missing Italy and stuff.
‘But I really believe that everything happens for a reason… and obviously I wasn’t meant to go. Or I REALLY meant to get a new passport. I think. imagine if they rejected me for my hen. Or my wedding even. Not even worth thinking about.
‘And you know. Italy would have been brilliant, but I didn’t want to snuggle up with my sons and watch Hercules and eat Haribos, and this reality is pretty special too.
‘Thank you so much for all your lovely messages today. I think more than anything, I was just dumbfounded and shocked.
‘But as always your kind words (and some spiced up for EasyJet) really make me feel better. You are all unreal.’
It comes after Vicky revealed her wedding day cost ‘the same price as a house’ and she still doesn’t have enough money to fund her dream day.
She admitted that her celebrity wedding planner has told her that her foundation won’t even cover the flowers she wants.
Talking to Rock my weddingVicky admitted that despite trying to be a bit sensible in places, she will be wearing four wedding dresses on the day.
But she has limited certain luxuries and doesn’t want to splash out on the floral installation she had her eye on for their welcome dinner.
Vicky said: ‘I knew weddings were big money business and as I say it’s not my first rodeo in this space but everything has just gotten more and more expensive.
‘I was really shocked.’
“I don’t want to pay it off for the next 10 years, or remortgage my house for a wedding,” she added.
She admitted that at first she thought she was having the ‘wedding of the century’, but reality quickly set in when she realized the cost, despite having a healthy budget.
Unfortunately, her wedding planner revealed that what she wanted was impossible with her original wedding fund.
After hosting 300 guests for their engagement party in London’s 14 Hills, Vicky and Ercan decided to officially marry at Marylebone Town Hall with an attendance of 100.
They then head to Italy for a welcome dinner, wedding ceremony and evening reception, which has attracted 150 guests so far.

Vicky teased that she would be wearing a sixties-inspired dress for her British wedding and said she loves the short veil and big sunglasses.
The couple became engaged in the summer of 2019 when Ercan proposed to her on the beach in Dubai.
He popped the question with a stunning emerald cut solitaire with a diamond band. British jeweler Rox predicted the piece would cost around £200,000.
Vicky and Ercan started dating shortly after she called off her engagement to ex-fiancé John Noble after he was filmed with a mystery woman in Dubai.
The couple dated for nine months before moving in together in 2019.
This marks Vicky’s third engagement as she was also previously engaged to Ricci Guarnaccio after meeting on MTV’s Geordie Shore.
The couple split in 2013 after what Ricci called a ‘volatile’ relationship filled with ‘constant fights’.
