RHOM star Alexia Nepola’s husband Todd files for divorce after two years – as real estate agent says their marriage is ‘irretrievably broken’

Alexia Nepola and her husband Todd call it quits after two years of marriage.

The couple, who celebrated their one-year anniversary in Italy, now say their marriage is ‘irretrievably broken’.

Todd, 51, filed the court papers on April 11, according to Page six.

Alexia, 56, best known as a member of the Real Housewives of Miami cast, has yet to respond to the petition.

But she took to her social media account to tell fans she was ‘shocked’ and ‘heartbroken’.

Todd, a commercial real estate executive, revealed in his filing that they had each signed a prenuptial agreement on Dec. 10, 2021, six days before they split.

The details of the contract were not listed in the case.

A ‘heartbroken’ Nepola shared a statement reacting to the divorce filing shortly after news broke her spouse had filed to end the marriage.

“I am shocked and heartbroken that Todd has chosen to dissolve our marriage,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories on Monday.

‘I will take comfort in the fact that my friends and family will be by my side and support me during this difficult time.

‘I pray for better times ahead.’

The couple quietly tied the knot in St. Barts.

The Bravo star said so US Weekly at the time she announced it, the intimate ceremony was ‘perfect for us! Really everything we wanted. Just him and me.’

‘Our favorite moment at the ceremony was when a large sea turtle came out of the water. I knew there was a symbolic and spiritual meaning and that the universe was trying to tell me something,’ she recalled.

The mother-of-two shares sons Peter, 31, and Frankie, 27, with ex-husband Pedro Roseello, who she was married to from 1992 to 1996.

She rose to fame as Alexia Echevarria when she married her late husband Hermann, who died unexpectedly in 2016. They were separated at the time of his death.

Alexia and Todd met in 2017 and got engaged in 2019 before walking down the aisle two years later.

The relationship between Todd and his stepson Peter was always difficult.

It’s been going on for a few years,’ Alexia said BravoTV.com in January 2022.

“Viewers are going to see Todd’s side of the argument, and they’re going to see Peter’s side of the argument. And the truth is, you can never judge. You have to be in the moment and really know the whole story to form an opinion.’

The devoted mum is also helping to care for Frankie, who suffered permanent brain damage from a car accident in 2011.

Since then, she has worked as an advocate for people with brain injuries.
