In a bombshell development, Australian superstar Rhea Ripley has been forced to vacate her WWE Women’s World Title.

The Adelaide-born sensation, 27, was left devastated after an injury sustained with bitter rival Liv Morgan during a backstage fight.

Ripley was thrown into a wall and it quickly became clear that she wasn’t going to break anytime soon.

In March, Ripley defended her title against Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler – and recently also beat all-time legend Becky Lynch at WrestleMania XL.

Ripley’s loyal fans were shocked after her shock announcement on Tuesday morning (AEST).

With her arm in a sling, she choked back tears as the crowd chanted her name and thanked her for an incredible title run.

“This championship means the most to me in my entire life, and that’s why it hurts so much,” she said on Raw.

In chaotic scenes, Ripley was visibly angry at being forced to leave her crown.

Her many supporters agreed and shouted ‘bulls***’.

On her way out of the arena, Ripley was embraced by WWE boss Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque and her Judgment Day teammates.
