Perrie Edwards shares her son Axel’s reaction to her Madame Tussauds waxwork and reveals the hilarious ‘brutal’ remark he made
Perrie Edwards has revealed how her son Axel reacted to seeing her Madame Tussauds waxwork when they visited the London museum.
The singer, 30, told how her son, two, cutely shouted ‘it’s mummy!’ when he saw her waxwork, which is placed next to figures of her Little Mix bandmates.
But when Perrie tried to ask Axel what he meant, he brutally cut in and asked if he could go and ‘sit on Aunt Leigh-Leigh’s knee’.
During an interview on Heart with hosts Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden, she was asked if the wax figures will be kept together after the band’s breakup.
Perrie explained: ‘No, no, they’re still there. I took my little boy to see them a few weeks ago and he was buzzing.

‘He was so excited! Honestly, we walked over and he said, “it’s Mamma!” I said, “yeah, what do you think?” and before I could finish my “what do you think?” said he, “I want to sit on Aunt Leigh-Leigh’s knee.”
Jamie joked that her son’s remark was ‘brutal’ as Perrie replied: ‘‘And I thought: ‘no, how dare you!
‘Well, you can’t sit on them because they’re made of wax, so you’ll have to come and stand with me on the side. Honestly, he loved it though. He loved it.’
Elsewhere during the chat, Perrie spoke about embarking on her new career path after releasing her first album as a solo artist.
Jamie said: ‘Over the 10 years with the other girls you’ve obviously had several single release days and you know you must be so used to it. How different is it doing interviews and being out there without the others around?’
Perrie replied: ‘Totally different. Like I think part of my subconscious is so tapped into that I’ve had girls around me 24/7 for the last 12 years that I get in the car and I just automatically assume, that they will be there.
“Or something that we’re planning in my schedule, I’m like, ‘yeah, do we want to, do we?'” and it’s all “we” and I’m like, “no, it’s all me now.”
And it’s really bizarre to me that I’ve got my big girl pants on and I’m like, “no, I can do this alone now,” which is really scary! But it’s really exciting.’

Her new single Forget About Us was released on Friday and the catchy tune hit #1 on UK iTunes within hours of its release.
Perrie revealed that her son Axel is her number one fan, who she explained already ‘knows all the words’ to all her songs by the age of two.
Appearing on Capital Breakfast on Friday, host Sian Welby asked the star: ‘I was wondering if you played the songs for Axel, just for a bit of a reaction?’
Perrie then explained that her son is her biggest fan and even has his own nickname for her recording studio, ‘the la la room’.
She said: ‘Yes, I play him everything. My studio is in the house so he calls it the ‘la la room’ and he’ll just let himself be in the middle of recording like I’m in my zone and he’ll just come in.. ‘la la la la la ‘ and then he says, ‘not this one’.
‘Like every time I make a fuss, he’s like “not this.” And I say, “oh, you don’t want this trouble?” And he says, “no, I want to dance”.
“And I’m like, okay, so you want a more upbeat one, and he has his favorite that I can’t name right now. But he’ll be like, ‘play, play,’ and as soon as it comes on, he goes like it. And he knows all the words to all the songs. It’s so cute!’
