Abbey Clancy reveals husband Peter Crouch forgot to buy her any presents last Christmas and left her to cook dinner alone in favour of going to the local pub
Abbey Clancy said her husband Peter Crouch left her cooking Christmas dinner alone when he popped into the pub for a pint last year.
The 37-year-old model also revealed that the former Liverpool star, 42, didn’t buy her any gifts that year when they chatted on Michael McIntyre’s Christmas Wheel.
On Christmas day, the show features seven celebrity experts, including Abbie and Peter, who use their knowledge of Christmas to help three famous faces accumulate as much money as possible.
Abbey, who was driving, said she would normally have to organize the entire day as the former striker said he had “nothing to do with it.”
But the mother-of-four admitted she didn’t want to take on the role of being “in charge” of Christmas and it was just “given” to her.

The 37-year-old model also revealed that the former Liverpool FC star, 42, didn’t buy her any gifts that year when they chatted on Michael McIntyre’s Christmas Wheel.
The blonde beauty said: “Last year everyone went to the pub and left me alone to cook dinner and everything.”
“It’s not every year, but this was the year you (Peter) didn’t give me gifts,” she added.
The crowd booed her husband when she said, “It’s true. I did it when you said, ‘What do you want for Christmas, let’s not do any gifts this year,’ but he took it literally.”
Peter couldn’t remember his less-than-ideal behavior and asked his wife, “Didn’t I give you anything?” before telling Abby that he doesn’t believe it.
Abby assured him that he had indeed forgotten to buy her anything.
But this isn’t the first time Abbie has complained about Peter’s lack of effort around the house, as she admitted that “it’s hard to keep the spark going after 20 years.” and added that she “would be very pleased if he were more homely.”
Abby said she has now “given up” on trying to train him and usually has to look after her children herself.
The podcast host couple has four children: Sophia, 12, Liberty, eight, Johnny, five, and Jack, four.

But this isn’t the first time Abbie has complained about Peter’s lack of effort around the house, as she admitted in December that it’s “hard to keep the spark alive after 20 years.”
In an interview with new! Abbey Magazine said: “Pete and I have been together for almost 20 years and it’s hard to keep the spark alive.
“Like any couple, we have our quibbles. You may take on the role of cooking and cleaning, and you need to break this vicious cycle.
“I wish Peter was more homely, but I gave in and he leaves me to cook and clean.”
But all is not lost as the football star plays an important role in other ways.
Abbie revealed Peter was struggling to keep the spark alive between the two of them as he planned a surprise trip to Thailand to “reconnect”.
Although the thought was there, Peter did not foresee the future plan, and when the couple arrived at their luxurious destination, it soon became obvious that the rainy season had arrived.
She said Peter needs to get into the game when it comes to cooking and cleaning and said she would “love it if he was more homey” (pictured, December 4).

Stuck indoors for 48 hours, the hosts of The Therapy Crouch podcast got couples’ massages, took a nap, and enjoyed brunch.
The topic of having more children was discussed during the rainy holiday, but Abby said expanding their family was not on the table right now.
She joked: “We both love being parents and it’s the most rewarding role, but there’s nothing else on the agenda right now.” Besides, Peter said he would leave me if we had any more.
Michael McIntyre’s The Christmas Wheel will air on BBC One at 6.50pm on December 25 and on BBC iPlayer.
