AOC makes shocking claim that ALL school girls will be forced to undergo ‘genital examinations’ if biological men are barred from women’s sports
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said all women would have to undergo genital examinations if biological men were banned from participating in women’s sports.
A member of the “squad” spoke Tuesday night at a House Health Oversight Subcommittee meeting on the topic of gender participation in sports.
AOC, 34, said there are many proposals that marginalize transgender Americans and said the issue of athletes’ gender would open up the possibility of “genital screening” for women and girls.
“We’re talking about allowing all women and girls to get genital examinations when they’re underage, maybe just so someone can point to someone and say, ‘I don’t think you’re a girl,'” she said. Ocasio Cortez.
“And we say this in a post-Dobbs America,” the New York Democrat said. ‘Where are the states that criminalize access to abortion and want nothing more than women’s data to figure out when who gets their period and who doesn’t, and we’re supposed to trust that this will make us better and safer?’

Women’s sports advocate and NCAA swimming legend Riley Gaines responded: “If my testimony makes me transphobic… your opening monologue will make you a misogynist.”
“I think not, and as always, I don’t believe we’re sitting here as part of a group of men who actually think about the implications for the biology and privacy of all women, trans or cisgender,” AOC finished.
Rep. Summer Lee, who is the ranking member of the House Health Oversight Subcommittee, agreed with AOC, saying that women testifying against biological males playing women’s sports is “transphobic.”

Lee quickly had Gein’s remarks retracted on the grounds of “personalities” rather than the merits of the debate.
“I suggest we record the words of this gentlewoman,” Lee said to the chair.
After a brief pause in the proceedings, Lee withdrew her point of order.
Gaines, 23, supported Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ 2024 bid for the US presidency in June and later that month testified at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on LGBT civil rights.
She later told the hearing that she believed too many trans athletes compete in women’s sports and that “Americans intuitively know it’s unfair.”

Former Kentucky swimmer Riley Gaines was the first to testify before the subcommittee on Tuesday.
“There are numerous documented cases of men competing not only in women’s swimming, but also in women’s track and field, cross country, basketball, volleyball, field hockey and other sports at all levels of competition,” Gaines said in her prepared statement, which was provided to the media.
“At the high school level, the participation of male athletes on women’s teams is perhaps one of the most underrated stories in the country.”
“Science supports this instinct,” she continued. “In fact, research consistently shows that men’s bodies have about a 10% athletic advantage over women’s.
“This gap is evident in almost every sport and at every level of competition. Yes, hormone therapy can close this gap. But it cannot solve this problem, and research has consistently shown that surgery and testosterone suppression do not reduce male athletic performance to normal female levels.”
Gaines has been a persistent advocate against trans women’s participation in sports since 2022, when she tied for fifth at the NCAA 200-yard freestyle championships with University of Pennsylvania swimmer Leah Thomas, a transgender woman who has previously competed against men.
