Ash Good’s husband was forced to make an unimaginable decision as his wife and baby were rushed to different hospitals following the Bondi Junction stabbing.

Osteopath Ms Good, 38, was shopping with her nine-month-old baby, Harriet, on Saturday afternoon when Joel Cauchi, 40, stabbed them with a 30cm hunting knife.

Ms Good and five other innocent shoppers were tragically killed.

After the stabbing, the mother was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital for surgery, while her baby was taken to the children’s hospital in Randwick.

Ms Good’s husband, Dan Flanagan, was forced to make the choice of which hospital to attend first and was fortunately able to see his wife before she succumbed to her injuries.

Devastated, Mr Flanagan was then taken in a police car to see his daughter, whose grandmother was there by her side, Daily Telegraph reported.

Harriet was stabbed in the stomach and has now been moved out of the intensive care unit.

ONE collection has since been set up to support Mr Flanagan and his daughter. It has raised more than $540,000.

Family and friends of Ms Good visited the shopping center on Tuesday afternoon to lay flowers at the memorial for the victims.

A relative, wearing dark glasses and holding a stuffed toy, was comforted by high-profile defamation lawyer Rebekah Giles, who was a close friend of Ms Good and had been with her moments before the stabbing.

She had left the scene but ran back after news of the stabbing spread, only to discover her close friend was among the victims.

Mrs Good was one of six victims of crazed knifeman Cauchi, who was later shot dead by a female police officer.

Advertising heiress Dawn Singleton, 25, architect Jade Young, 47, artist Pikria Darchia, 55, security guard Faraz Tahir, 30, and Chinese student Yixuan Cheng, 27, died at the scene.

The horror began around 3.30pm on Saturday, with shocking footage showing Cauchi running around the city center armed with a large knife.

The nightmare came to an end when he was fatally shot by NSW Police Inspector Amy Scott, who confronted the killer alone.
