This is the terrifying moment a man’s wife allegedly flew into a jealous rage and set him on fire at the fish market she owned in Brazil.

Andre Chapeta, 50, died Friday less than a week after suffering devastating burns.

The incident occurred on Monday at a store in Rio de Janeiro when Ana Maria Paixao noticed Chapeta sitting at a table.

Surveillance camera showed Paishai walking past the counter and opening a bottle before dousing his body with the flammable liquid.

Paixao told investigators she was beaten before Chapeta was set on fire and that she reacted in self-defense, a claim they rejected.

“What she says doesn’t match the picture. In the photo the victim is sitting in a chair. She comes, cold, pours liquid on him and sets him on fire,” Ferreira said.

“She was not in a vulnerable situation at that moment, she was not in a situation in which she would inevitably be attacked.

“On the contrary, as I said, he was sitting and did not pose any risk to her physical integrity at that moment.”
