No Calvert-Lewin for Everton?

Some potential early team news Everton fans won’t want to see.

Everton have arrived at Stamford Bridge, but it appears that a certain Dominic Calvert-Lewin has not made the team.

If he is not involved tonight, it will be a huge blow for Everton, especially after his recent return to goalscoring form.

Who will start up top for Everton?

Everton’s Dele Alli special guest on Sky Sports’ MNF

Although he may not be on the pitch for Everton tonight, Dele Alli will be involved in tonight’s game as it has been confirmed that he will appear as a special guest on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football.

It is set to be Alli’s first media appearance since bravely opening up at The Overlap with Gary Neville last summer.

The 28-year-old signed for Everton in 2022 and is currently working towards a return to first-team action.

Palmer aims for seven in a row

Number seven seems to come up a lot tonight.

Either way, Cole Palmer, what a player. Many of us knew Palmer was a talent at Manchester City, but I’m not sure many predicted the incredible season he’s had at Chelsea this year.

The 21-year-old has been involved in 25 goals in his last 22 Premier League games, scoring 16 and assisting nine. Extremely impressive.

If Palmer scores tonight, he will become the first Chelsea player to score in seven consecutive Premier League home games.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see his name on the scoresheet tonight, I’m not sure anyone would be.

Chelsea face unwanted record

Although Chelsea may be in the midst of a seven-game unbeaten run, they have conceded plenty of goals in those games.

The Blues have both scored and conceded at least two goals in seven consecutive games in the Premier League.

If they do it again tonight, they will become the first English team ever to do it in eight consecutive games.

What I take it as is to expect a lot of goals, which is great for the neutrals.

That’s why I said it’s set to be enjoyable!

Everton are officially appealing the two-point deduction

It has already been a very eventful day for Everton.

The club have now officially lodged their appeal against a two-point deduction they were given for breaching the Premier League’s profitability and sustainability rules.

This means that a decision on the appeal may not be made until five days after the end of the campaign.

Chelsea are still in the hunt for Europe

It is only recently that Chelsea have begun to threaten the European places.

The Blues currently sit six points behind Manchester United in seventh, the Europa Conference League spot, but they have two games remaining. Win tonight and they’re really in the running.

With United faltering regularly and the fact that they are on a seven game unbeaten league run, Europe looks like a real possibility for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

What do you think the Blues can do to Europe?

Toffees’ miserable record at the Bridge

Stamford Bridge is not a happy hunting ground for Everton.

The Toffees have gone 28 games without a win away from home at Chelsea, their last coming under Joe Royle back in 1994.

Yes, that’s right, Everton have gone almost 30 years without winning away at Chelsea. There is only one other winless run by a Premier League club away to another that is as long, and that is Newcastle United’s record away to Liverpool.

Records are there to be broken…

Battle of the Blues

In the blue corner we have… well, both teams.

This is a fixture that is a fixture of the Premier League football schedule, with the home side usually coming out on top,

Today, Chelsea are the hosts and despite spending the majority of the campaign in the bottom half of the table, they currently sit in ninth place and are still in the hunt for a European place.

Meanwhile, Everton are fighting for their lives. Having been deducted eight points this season from two separate offences, the second of which they are appealing, the Toffees sit just two points clear of the relegation zone but have two games in hand.

Who will take a step closer to their goal tonight?

Monday night under the lights!

The weekend isn’t over yet.

You gotta love football on a Monday night. Many of you may have come home from work, made dinner and put your feet up to watch some Premier League football. Nothing better.

It’s not a bad match either, Chelsea vs Everton, a match that has produced some great moments over the years.

This year it could have a big impact on the European spots and the fight for survival. I’m sure Luton Town and Nottingham Forest fans will be willing with Chelsea.

It’s set to be an enjoyable watch, yes we can live I hope.

Either way, I can’t wait to cover it for you all!
