FIA President Mohamed Ben Sulayem required medical attention after falling “a few days ago” but has made a full recovery, according to reports.
The Formula 1 boss attended the recent awards ceremony in Baku but was injured after a fall and required hospital treatment.
Ben Sulayem has since been treated for a concussion and is expected to recover once an update on his condition is provided, as reported Sun.
“A few days ago the president fell ill, fell and suffered a concussion,” an FIA spokesman said.
“He was treated in hospital and will make a full recovery.”

The 62-year-old was appointed to lead Formula One’s governing body in December last year but announced in February that he was giving up day-to-day control.
However, the Dubai native was recently involved in an investigation into Mercedes boss Toto Wolff and his wife Susie over an alleged conflict of interest.
Susie Wolf heads the Formula 1 Academy, a women’s series run and owned by the sport’s owners Liberty Media, while Toto is in charge of the Mercedes team.
The 62-year-old was appointed to lead Formula One’s governing body in December last year.
Sulayem was involved in an FIA investigation into Mercedes boss Toto Wolff and his wife Susie, which was dropped.
On Thursday, Toto was cleared to take over as Mercedes team principal after the FIA dropped its investigation into the pair.
Announcing their decision, they said: “Following a review of Formula One’s management code of conduct and conflict of interest policy, and confirmation that appropriate safeguards are in place to mitigate any potential conflicts, the FIA is satisfied that FOM’s compliance management system is robust. sufficient to prevent any unauthorized disclosure of confidential information.
