Gogglebox’s former star Sandra Martin reveals she’s unemployed and living off of handouts from her celebrity pals
Gogglebox’s Sandra Martin has revealed she is unemployed and living off handouts from her famous friends.
Sandra, 61, rose to fame in the first series of the show, aired in 2013. She left the program in 2017 after nine episodes.
This personality was a firm favorite along with best friend Sandy Bogle, who was also a cast member from the beginning and left the show in 2016.
Talking to SunSandra said: “I get loans from celebrities. No, they don’t get their money back, I don’t get it back.”
During her time on Gogglebox, Sandra revealed that everything was paid for, leaving her with £500 a month to do whatever she wanted.

She said she had not worked since leaving but was still living well as her private property in Hastings was also paid for.
“I don’t work, so I don’t get paid. But they pay my expenses, the hotels.
“Someone took me to Amsterdam and Ibiza – I get a lot of free trips, I just don’t get paid.”
Sandy’s departure in 2016 was sudden and sparked rumors of a feud between the couple.
Sandra addressed the rumors in 2018, telling Lorraine they split up because “Sandy was so busy being a celebrity.”
Pub owner Sandy, 58, appeared in series 20 of Celebrity Big Brother in 2017 and came in ninth place.
The series was won by Girls Aloud’s Sarah Harding, who died of breast cancer at 39 in 2021.
Sandy is the cousin of supermodel Naomi Campbell, and Naomi appeared in a Gogglebox charity episode in 2014.

Gogglebox is a British reality television series created by Stephen Lambert and Tanya Alexander and broadcast on Channel 4.
The series captures the reactions of several families or groups of friends across the UK to television last week.
It won the BAFTA Television Award in the Reality and Constructed Factual Program category in 2014 and 2022.
Gogglebox has spawned several international versions, a spin-off starring children, Gogglesprogs, and one of the young people watching online content, Vogglebox.
