The People vs. The OJ Simpson TV show first aired in 2017 – but it’s gaining renewed interest following the football star’s death.
The American Crime Story series focuses on the 1995 murder case against Simpson, played by Oscar winner Cuba Gooding Jr.
The verdict in the real trial on October 3 of that year was seen by more than 150 million in the United States – 57 percent of the country.
The ten-part show was made by Fox-owned FX – but was originally broadcast globally after its release in February 2017 by Netflix under a major rights deal at the time.
But it is now underway Hulu and Disney+ after Disney completed the purchase of Fox’s TV series and movies in 2017.

The People Vs OJ Simpson is free to subscribers of Hulu (above) and Disney Plus
Anyone with a subscription to these two services can watch it for free. Otherwise, people have to buy it from services like Apple TV.
It stars Friends star David Schwimmer as Simpson’s friend and lawyer Robert Kardashian. It also stars John Travolta, Sarah Paulson, Courtney B. Vance, Sterling Brown, Nathan Lane, Kenneth Choi, Christian Clemenson and Bruce Greenwood.
In the first episode, Kardashian featured prominently in the premiere as he gave Simpson legal advice and also talked him out of committing suicide in Kim Kardashian’s childhood bedroom.
Kris Jenner, played by Selma Blair, appears at good friend Nicole Brown Simpson’s funeral in that episode.
The funeral scene ended with Gooding Jr’s Simpson kissing his slain ex-wife in her open casket.
FX, which created the show, describes the show as: ‘A limited series that takes you inside the OJ Simpson trial with a riveting look at the legal teams battling to convict or exonerate the football legend of double murder.
The show is based on the book The Run of His Life: The People v. OJ Simpson by Jeffrey Toobin.
