Hunt for missing mother-of-two, 25, who vanished on night out in Barnsley as police say disappearance is ‘extremely out of character’

Police are desperately searching for a young mother of two who went missing in South Yorkshire overnight.

Katie, 25, was last caught on CCTV outside the Digital bar in Barnsley at 5.58am on Saturday.

Officers say she has had no contact with her family or two young children since then, which is highly uncharacteristic.

South Yorkshire Police believe Katie was in the city center before leaving Wellington Street at 5.26am.

They believe she then attempted to return home to an address in Dodworth Road, Barnsley, before heading towards the Town End roundabout at 5.43am.

Officers say Katie (pictured) has not been in contact with her family and two young children since then, which is highly uncharacteristic.

She was next caught on CCTV outside the Digital bar where she was last seen. wearing a black jacket, white top and jeans with black boots.

Katie is described as a white female, about 5ft 3ins tall, with blonde hair.

Officers are asking anyone with information to contact 101, quoting incident number 907 of December 23.
