Hunter Biden fears he will have to FLEE the US if Trump is elected; Friends say Joe Biden is ‘consumed’ by the scandal around his son and is scared he will slip back into addiction, report claims

Hunter Biden has told friends he may have to flee the country if Donald Trump is re-elected, after months of deeply personal political attacks and mounting legal problems.

Republicans have placed him at the center of their efforts, saying his father acted corruptly while he was vice president.

And he could face nearly 20 years in prison if convicted of the three felonies and six misdemeanors charged last week.

As a result, the 81-year-old father is desperately worried about the well-being of his son, who has struggled with alcohol and drugs, and a son who fears more attacks if Trump wins in 2024.

Two sources cited by Politico said Hunter has told family friends that he expects to be under scrutiny during the campaign and is considering leaving the United States if his father loses the election to the Republican front-runner.

Hunter Biden spoke on Capitol Hill Wednesday, accusing Republicans of having “no shame.” He told friends he might have to leave the country if Donald Trump wins next year.

He recently spoke publicly about his concerns.

“They are trying to kill me, knowing it would be more pain than my father could bear, and thus destroy the presidency,” he told musician Moby. during the podcast.

Trump has repeatedly criticized Hunter, and reports say that if he wins re-election, he will install a much tougher administration staffed by ultra-loyalists willing to run roughshod over legal and constitutional norms.

Meanwhile, the president’s confidants say Biden is desperately worried that his son, under pressure, will relapse into addiction.

“You can see it in his eyes and see his shoulders slump,” one said. “He’s so worried about Hunter. And we’re concerned that it could consume him.”

Biden is in daily contact with his son and has built a support network to help him, according to the news outlet, which spoke to a number of insiders.

“I know when he’s hurting. He doesn’t talk about it much, like most of us,” former Senator Chris Dodd, who has been close to Biden for more than 40 years, told the publication.

“He has real human decency, and a lot of it comes from scars. And he’s worried.

Wednesday brought another day of drama.

Republicans have set a deadline for Biden Jr. to testify behind closed doors about his business dealings. But Hunter said he would only give his evidence in public and made a rare public speech condemning an investigation he said was built on “distortions, manipulation of evidence and lies.”

Donald Trump held a rally in Iowa on Wednesday night when he criticized Hunter Biden's appearance on Capitol Hill. “He went the wrong way,” the former president said.

“They took the light of my father’s love for me and did everything they could to turn it into darkness,” he said. “They have no shame.”

The White House refused to get involved in the fight, only emphasizing the president’s love for his son.

“And I think what you saw was from the heart of his son, and you heard… heard me say it, you heard the president say it, when it comes to the president, the first lady, they’re proud of him. and continue to rebuild my life,” spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre said.

But she also said the president was “familiar” with what his son was about to say that morning, hinting at their close communication.

Biden checks in on his son as part of his daily routine. And Hunter is a regular visitor to Camp David, the family home in Delaware and the White House.

Insiders say it reflects the president’s desire to bring Hunter closer to his family, even if it gives his critics a line of attack.

The report said aides stopped questioning that approach after the president disagreed with anyone questioning whether Hunter was a selective liability.

For example, at a state dinner for the Indian Prime Minister in June, no one asked whether it was a good idea for his son to go on trial.
