Video shows Ian Wright going wild after Arsenal came back to secure a 4-3 winner at Luton on Tuesday, with summer signing Declan Rice scoring with a header in the seventh minute of stoppage time.
Wright also made fun of James Maddison in the video after reading the news from Mirrorin which Maddison reportedly said his England teammate Rice was the “best player” but added that he “hated” him for going to Arsenal.
Since joining the Gunners in the summer for a landmark £105 million fee, Rice has impressed for the north London side, scoring three Premier League goals for the club.
After Kai Havertz had helped Mikel Arteta’s side level the score at 3-3 with Kai Havertz scoring in the 60th minute, Arsenal looked to secure victory at Luton with Rice rising high to meet Martin’s cross Edegora and headed home. winner in the seventh minute of stoppage time.
It prompted scenes of jubilation from the traveling Arsenal fans at Kenilworth Road, where Ian Wright watched from the studio before resigning.

Wright pointed to an article on his phone and said: “James Maddison: ‘I hate that he plays for Arsenal.’ And then Declan Rice scores!”
He continued to celebrate the late goal, waving his arms and head in delirium and shouting: “Arsenal!” Arsenal!’
Since his arrival at the Emirates, Rice has made 22 appearances for Arsenal and has received praise from many in the football world, with Gunners fans branding him “ridiculous”.
Meanwhile, Maddison also switched clubs earlier this season, joining Tottenham after his former club Leicester were relegated to the Championship.
It happened just as Wright was reading a news story about James Maddison in which he claimed he “hated” Rice for joining Arsenal.
The England midfielder has played a key role for the Gunners this season, scoring three goals in 22 Premier League appearances.
But the midfielder recently appeared in an interview with Amazon Prime talking about Rice and praised his England team-mate for his technical ability.
Maddison said: “Yes (he has everything). He’s technically very, very good.
“In training we pass for England. He’s a joke when it comes to low gears. I think he’s a top top player. I hate that he plays for Arsenal.
Maddison is out until at least the new year after picking up an ankle injury against Chelsea.
