Jamie Foxx, 56, proves he’s back in top health as he enjoys a large shot of whiskey at his piano… after his mystery illness STILL remains unexplained

Jamie Foxx appeared to be returning to top health this week after a mysterious illness last year.

The Oscar-winning actor was spotted at his piano in his Los Angeles mansion looking suited in a black T-shirt with shorts and white and red trainers.

The Ray star also had a bottle of his favorite whiskey – BSB – on top of the piano as he called for one of his favorite snacks.

The 56-year-old friend of Cameron Diaz tried to order Lemon Pepper wings from Wing Stop.

The actor has been back at work promoting his new film with Diaz called Back In Action. And he is also shooting the fun action-packed film Beat Shamaz.

Sources say he is ‘doing incredibly well’ and was ‘back to his old self’.

The actor took time out of the public eye from April to December last year after suffering a mysterious medical complication, but is said to have been ‘really on it’ while filming new episodes of the game show.

A source told PEOPLE: ‘He’s so busy getting back to doing what he loves.

‘Jamie didn’t skip a beat on ‘Beat Shazam’.

‘He was literally right back to his old self. Really on it!’

Jamie has yet to reveal exactly what happened, but in December he made his first official public outing since April 2023.

At the time, the ‘Django Unchained’ star admitted he ‘couldn’t walk’ six months before as he battled a mystery illness and wouldn’t wish what he went through on his ‘worst enemy’.

He received a standing ovation from the crowd at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Century City, Los Angeles, when he walked across the stage to accept the Vanguard Award, but admitted it would not have been possible earlier this year.

He became emotional as he addressed the crowd, saying: ‘You know it’s crazy, I couldn’t do it six months ago – I couldn’t actually walk.

‘I appreciate every minute now – it’s different. I wouldn’t wish what I went through on my worst enemy because it’s hard when it’s almost over… when you see the tunnel. I saw the tunnel – I didn’t see the light.’

He then joked: ‘I’m not a clone, I’m not a clone. I know a lot of people who said I was cloned out there.’

In April 2023, Jamie’s daughter Corinne announced that her father was suffering from a medical complication.

In a statement written on behalf of her family, Corinne explained: ‘We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday.

‘Fortunately, due to quick action and great care, he is already on the road to recovery. We know how loved he is and we appreciate your prayers. The family is asking for privacy at this time.’

In May 2023, Jamie took to social media to thank his fans for their support.

The Hollywood star wrote on Instagram: ‘Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed (prayer and heart emojis) (sic)’
