Jorginho is engaged! Arsenal footballer pops the question to Jude Law’s ex Catherine Harding with romantic proposal surrounded by roses, candles and a violinist

Jorginho got engaged to his girlfriend Catherine Harding after he proposed romantically.

The 31-year-old Arsenal footballer got down on one knee in front of the 32-year-old singer, surrounded by red roses and candles as he was serenaded by a violinist.

The couple is believed to have gotten together in 2020 and have a three-year-old son named Jax.

The neon sign read, “Will you marry me?” under a large heart of flowers, and photographs of their beloved couple were displayed on the floor.

The Brazilian athlete looked dapper in a black suit, while his new bride, former flame of actor Jude Law, sparkled in a sparkling red dress with an open back.

Kat shared plenty of snaps of the sweet moment on her Instagram and captioned them: “My love” with an infinity symbol and a diamond ring emoji.

She also posted a video of the proposal, which captured the moment Jorginho surprised her on stage at John Legend’s Never Break.

She captioned the sweet clip: “The next chapter in our story.”

The Arsenal midfielder, whose full name is Jorge Luis Frello Filho Cavaliere Omri, is believed to have been dating Kat since 2020.

Kat has an eight-year-old daughter named Ada with ex Jude Law, as well as Jax with Jorginho.

The Arsenal player has two children, Vitor and Alicia, with his ex-wife Natalia Leteri.

The couple were together for eight years and married in 2017 before secretly splitting in 2019.

Kat dated Hollywood star Jude when she was 23 and he was 41 while he was filming in the Czech Republic.

They had already separated when they announced her pregnancy, and their daughter Ada is the actor’s fifth child.

After giving birth, Kat said: “She looks a lot like Jude, but she’s not like me. Jude is really funny and sweet.

“I remember last week he came over and he had to change her on a park bench. He cleaned it all out.

“He’s a good father and she sees her brothers and sisters. He takes her out all the time.

“The birth was very painful, I wanted only my mother with me, it was a caesarean section, it was really terrible. But he came right after that and was really amazing.”

Jude has seven children from four women. As well as Ada, he is also father to Rafferty, 26, Iris, 22, and Rudy, 20, with ex-wife Sadie Frost.

The actor has 13-year-old Sophia with ex Samantha Burke and two children, ages three and 10 months, whose names have not been publicly disclosed, with wife Phillipa Coan.

Kat mentioned her romance with Jorginho during an interview with MailOnline in March 2020.

She said: “I definitely write a lot of love songs, especially in the last year. I find that I go through phases where I’m inspired and sometimes I’m not, but I got into a new relationship last year and it’s definitely given me a ton of creativity and inspiration.

“My songs are usually based on love – boring! It inspires me so much that there is no other feeling like it.”

In September 2020, Kat announced she had given birth to a son in a sweet Instagram post.

She wrote: “Welcome to the world baby. We’ve been dreaming about you for months, and now you’re here, everything we could have wished for and more.

“How crazy life is and how beautiful. A new adventure with you that will help you find your way in this world will fill our hearts with love and bring so much happiness.”

The Irish-born musician appeared on the 2020 edition of The Voice UK as Kat Cavelli.

She was mentored by Olly Murs on the hit BBC show when she reached the play-off round but failed to win.

Kat regularly takes to her Instagram to share updates about her adventures with Jorginho and her two children.

The couple has already sparked engagement rumors after she shared some loved-up photos of them wearing a diamond ring on their engagement hand in July 2021.

However, in January 2022, Jorginho found himself in the doghouse after fans noticed his profile on celebrity dating app Raya while the player was in Miami with his teammates.

However, Kat later joined him in Florida and the brunette denied accusations of infidelity by sharing a photo of herself and the footballer on Instagram.

Jorginho hugged his girlfriend in the photo, which she captioned: “He’s playing away… with me.”

According to The Sun, Jorginho’s profile at the time was linked to his official Instagram account, which boasts four million followers, and noted that he was “coming to Miami from London.”

A user who discovered the profile said: “I was shocked because I know he has a girlfriend from what I read before.”

“His profile is full of pictures of him playing for Chelsea or Italy. There is another shot of him topless in the pool. Our profiles matched, but I didn’t talk to him because I knew he was with someone.”
