Vice President Kamala Harris canceled her scheduled appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday with plans to attend a campaign event instead. The vice president was scheduled to appear on the show Tuesday, which films in the afternoon.
She and her staff publicly gave no reason for canceling the performance, according to Deadline. The vice president’s appearance on the show is expected to be moved to a later date, but they did not announce a new date.
Her updated schedule for Tuesday revealed plans for the vice president to attend a campaign event in Los Angeles “later in the day,” but closed it to the press.
The Biden campaign continues to closely guard the details of the vice president’s campaign events, while protesters on the issue of climate change and Israel’s war in Gaza continue to interrupt her.
On Monday, Harris campaigned in Las Vegas and returned to Los Angeles on Monday evening. She did not go back to Washington, DC.
The vice president has made the issue of abortion rights a central part of her campaign message.
She made a surprise appearance at the Power Leadership and Influence of Black Women luncheon in Los Angeles on Saturday, where Sen. Laphonza Butler was honored.

“Vice President Harris has been a champion of this issue, doing her best under the toughest of circumstances to try to explain to her male colleagues how a term works,” MacFarlane joked at the event.
The vice president last appeared on Jimmy Kimmel’s show in July 2019 as she ran her own presidential campaign.
