Keith McNally strikes again! Knife-tongued restaurant owner goes after Lauren Sanchez in wild Instagram post

Celebrity restaurateur Keith McNally has taken aim at Lauren Sanchez in a late night Instagram rant in which he branded Jeff Bezos’ fiancee ‘outrageous’.

Sharing a carousel of recent photos of Sanchez and Bezos, McNally continued to bash the couple in a post that went up late Monday night.

‘Does anyone else find Jeff Bezos’ new wife – Lauren Sanchez – TOTALLY revolting?’ he wrote.

‘What an ugly and devilish STUFF – LOOKING pair they make. Is that what having 1000 billion dollars does to people?’

McNally’s seemingly unprovoked roasting comes a week after Sanchez and Bezos made several public appearances together in Washington, DC at the White House state dinner for Japan’s prime minister and to present the Courage and Civility Award – a $100 million annual grant that Bezos hands out .

It is not clear why McNally specifically targeted Sanchez and Bezos.

The future Mrs Bezos has so far been defended by her celeb friend Chrissy Teigen, who touted Sanchez’s admirable qualities.

“She is indeed incredibly dynamic, talented and kind, and anyone who knows her would say the same,” the entertainer and wife of John Legend wrote.

MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle also jumped to Sanchez’s defense, writing: ‘No. I think she is capable, kind, smart and loved. Social media is fun, but it’s not. It’s just malicious for no reason. If we all took a breath and thought about how it feels to be mocked and teased, we would make a lot less of it.’

The owner of enduring New York City hotspots Balthazar, Pastis, Minetta Tavern and Morandi has previously picked several fights with high-profile visitors to his restaurants.

In October 2022, he started a weeks-long feud with then-host James Corden, who reportedly yelled at McNally’s Balthazar staff over an all-yolk omelette his wife had tried to order.

Corden, who has been singled out as difficult to work with on several occasions, defended himself on air and in a New York Times profile at the time.

He apologized, which smoothed things over a bit, but only until McNally got his hands on a copy of the London Times in which Corden denied ever yelling at anyone.

“I don’t want to over-egg the pudding, but in Friday’s London Times, Corden freaked out and told a massive lie AGAIN:” McNally began.

“I never screamed at anyone, I didn’t yell, call anyone names or curse or use derogatory language… How is that remotely a thing? When the person who posted the story wasn’t even there.”

“On second viewing, I found his TV “announcement” contrived and false. The actor will say anything to save his bacon.

“In context, my opinion means nothing, but after Friday’s interview and another look at his fraudulent confession, I’ve given up on James Corden. For Good,” he wrote.

Over the years, McNally has proven to be a lightning rod for controversy with Instagram posts that often inflame discourse.

Since joining the platform, he has periodically been a staunch defender of Woody Allen, who has been tormented for decades by his decision to become romantically involved with his stepdaughter Soon-Yi Previn, with whom he remains to this day .

Allen was later accused of sexually assaulting his daughter Dylan Farrow, whom he had adopted with then-partner Mia Farrow in 1991.

He has always denied her allegations and was never charged — although a Connecticut prosecutor said there was probable cause for a criminal charge.

Earlier this year, McNally apologized for something he wrote on Instagram in the immediate aftermath of the barbaric Hamas attacks on Israel on October 7.

‘The more completely repulsive the facts are, the greater the responsibility to listen to the other side,’ he wrote below a photo of the retaliatory strikes carried out by Israel against the terrorist group.

Later he seriously retracted his statement and strongly condemned Hamas and their terrorist activities.

‘I want to make it clear: Those who continue to look away from or fail to condemn the horrific terror of Hamas do not serve Palestinian freedom. They support cold-blooded murder, rape, kidnapping, torture,’ he wrote on 10 October.

In November, exactly one month after the unprovoked invasion of Israel, he wrote: ‘If those asking for better conditions for the Palestinians prefaced their plea by condemning the savagery of Hamas’ attack on October 7, and that taking civilians taking hostages is a cruel act. and obscene wickedness, I would have three times as much sympathy for them.’
