Mama June asks fans to pray for daughter Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell amid her terminal cancer battle: ‘God has all the cards’
Mama June Shannon is asking for prayers.
The reality TV star, who vowed to start a new life when she turned 44 in August, took to social media on Friday to call upon the powers of heaven.
“You all ask for your prayers for our family as we go through this process,” the Here Comes Honey Boo-Boo alum told her 758,000 Instagram followers.
“We really appreciate you all for all your thoughts and prayers, and we will update you when we can,” she said, adding, “Just know that all your thoughts and your prayers are greatly appreciated at this time,” she said . explained, adding the hashtags: “#mamajune #cancersucks #family #prayers.”
The concerned mother didn’t name any names, but her followers immediately knew she was referring to her 29-year-old daughter Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell, who is battling stage four cancer.

June’s 23-year-old daughter, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird, reposted, adding, “Pray for our family.”
In January, Anna was diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal cancer after complaining of abdominal pain. Testing showed the disease had affected her liver, kidneys and lungs.
Mayo Clinic reports that adrenal carcinoma is a rare cancer that affects the adrenal glands in the kidneys. The adrenal glands produce hormones that transmit instructions to almost every organ and tissue in the body.
The mother of two girls, Caitlin, 11, and Kylie, eight, was undergoing chemotherapy to fight cancer.
Anna has been trying to keep her fans updated on her progress on TikTok.

In her latest post, published on November 10, she revealed that she was “going through a procedure called autoimmune therapy.”
“It hurts, but everything is going great,” she said at the time.
Immunotherapy, according to the National Cancer Institute, “is a type of cancer treatment that helps your body fight cancer.”

Earlier this year, 29-year-old Anna was diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal cancer.

A few hours after posting her prayer request, June made a video. In a TikTok post shared on social media platforms following the prayer request, June said: “I just want you to know that since everything has changed in our lives lately. several weeks that are completely out of our control.”
“God holds all the cards, but Anna is still with us,” she explained. “We’re going through this period of transition (and) we still ask for continued prayers for Anna, continued prayers for the family. We see all your messages, although we do not respond to all of you.”
June concluded the video by sharing that she and her family are “spending this time enjoying moments and making memories” together.
