Manchester United’s Champions League campaign is over, with Kingley Coman’s goal and Copenhagen’s win over Galatasaray ending a nightmare European campaign for Erik ten Hag’s side.
United remained determined throughout the first half despite Harry Maguire being forced off with a groin injury and impressed in the early exchanges of the second before falling apart.
Bruno Fernandes was wasteful in front of goal, first deflecting a shot over the crossbar before converting another decent chance wide of goal. He wouldn’t be given another chance as Bayern finally opened the scoring.
Coman had threatened earlier in the match and was played superbly in the 70th minute by England captain and Bayern talisman Harry Kane. The Frenchman fired past Andre Onana.
