Married at First Sight groom Richard Sauerman has revealed that his fellow brides and grooms consistently broke one rule on set.

Richard, 62, revealed that cast members were banned from taking pictures on their personal devices and were instead given production phones to take pictures.

But he later realized that he was the only one who adhered to the directive.

“The producers gave us a production phone and said, ‘Use this phone to take pictures and videos of your relationship. You can’t do that on your own phone’. So I did,” he shared Yahoo.

Richard discovered much later that many other cast members weren’t following the rule while he was, meaning they had plenty of spontaneous photos to use as souvenirs while he only had promotional ones.

Afterwards I see all these posts come up with all the other couples about intimate moments and things clearly taken on another phone.

‘So everyone else had all these social media posts of them living their lives and things behind the scenes that Channel Nine is now happily posting and we were told not to.’

He said that if he had known that he could simply take photos on his own device like other cast members, he would have done so to preserve precious memories.

‘I followed the rules and it just annoyed me. I would have done it differently and used my own phone, gone crazy and taken lots of pictures.’

Richard was paired with Andrea Thompson, 51, on the Channel Nine dating experiment, but the pair decided to go their separate ways.

Looking back on his journey on the show, Richard admitted there was one comment he wished he’d never made.

He memorably shocked his co-stars with a scathing remark about his sex life with Andrea during Intimacy Week.

He said: ‘We did intimacy week the week before intimacy week. We stared, we hugged, we f***ed, we s***ed, we did everything, we did it all.’

“I wouldn’t have said that ‘we kissed, we licked…’ comment at the commitment ceremony during intimacy week,” Richard shared women’s day of his regret.

His comments come after Andrea lifted the lid on her marriage to Richard behind closed doors after sensationally calling off the experiment in March.

Speaking exclusively to TheWSTNews Australia, she said she decided to end things with Richard because the pair’s constant fighting was starting to make her ‘feel crazy’.
