Megan Gale reveals whether she will return to modelling after surprise return to David Jones catwalk – as she reflects on the ‘fickle’ industry where you could ‘fade away’ any time
Megan Gale has said she is ready to return to modeling almost 16 years after leaving the industry.
Talking to Star The 48-year-old Australian supermodel said this week that she thoroughly enjoyed her only return to the catwalk to mark David Jones’ 185th birthday in March.
“Walking down the runway and seeing how excited people were to see me felt like coming home. Would I do this again? “Never say never,” she began.
“I’ve always loved being a runway model, I miss it, but I wouldn’t just work for the sake of it. It has to make sense.”
Meghan’s appearance on the David Jones catwalk comes 22 years after she became an ambassador for the brand in 2001.

The Perth-born star also said she was grateful to have worked in such a cutthroat industry for so long.
“I wanted to work as much as possible, have children later and maybe retire. This industry is fickle and there is no telling when it will go away.”
She added that meeting her partner Sean Hampson and having a family has helped her maintain balance throughout her career.

“(Sean) is very thorough and always makes things very real. He makes me laugh a lot. We’re still having fun, even years later.”
This comes after Meghan previously said Body and soul magazine, she now wears minimal makeup and doesn’t “put too much pressure on my body” while working out.
“Beauty doesn’t have to be so overwhelming—in my book, less is more, and truly more,” she told the publication.

The supermodel opened and closed the David Jones autumn/winter collection at her flagship store in Melbourne in March.
Meghan was the face of the luxury department store from 2001 to 2014.
Since leaving the spotlight, she has been focusing on her family life with her partner Sean Hampson.
Megan and Sean, who live together in Melbourne, met in 2011 and got engaged in 2017, and have daughter Rosie and son River.
