Meghan Markle looked effortlessly chic in a black flowy maxi skirt supposedly custom-made by fashion experts from Carolina Herrera as she and her husband headed to Jamaica for the premiere of the new Bob Marley film.

The Duchess of Sussex, 42, oozed glamor on Tuesday night in a monochrome ensemble, which she paired with a simple bodysuit.

The strappy style showed off her toned shoulders and accentuated her waist as the mother-of-two smiled for the cameras during a glitzy screening of the Paramount biopic at the Carib Theatre.

Meghan accessorized her sophisticated look with colorful accessories and was spotted by royal watchers including Royal Fashion Police on Instagram to wear 18k gold earrings from Jennifer Meyer Jewelery costing $3,250 (about £2,558.37).

Elsewhere, the Duchess kept her classic Jimmy Choo J Box clutch (worth £750, or about $952.75) – one of her staple pieces that she’s worn several times over the years.

She showed off her dewy skin with simple, understated makeup and wore her hair in a slicked back bun.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry, 39, opted for a casual black suit and white shirt for the event.

Duke and Duchess of Sussex turned their heads as they posed for photos and shook hands with the cast last night.

The couple posed with Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon President and CEO Brian Robbins and his wife Tracy James.

Meghan and Harry, who stepped down from royal duties four years ago, also attended the premiere along with Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness and his wife Juliet.

Holness said his country was “moving away” from the British monarchy. Harry’s father, King Charles, is currently the head of state of Jamaica.

The process of severing ties with the British monarchy follows in the footsteps of another former Caribbean possession, Barbados.

Much like the island earldom’s break with the monarchy, Prince Harry too was stripped of his HRH titles and sensationally stepped down as a working member of the royal family in early 2020.

He moved to North America with his wife Megan, whom he married in 2018.

Meghan and Harry now reside in Montecito, California, with their two children, Archie and Lilibeth. Since leaving their duties, the Sussexes have made very few public or private trips back to the UK.

After leaving the royal family, the couple had many ventures in the entertainment industry. They have signed multimillion-dollar deals with Netflix and Spotify to produce podcasts and documentaries discussing their lives in the royal family.

Six months ago, they terminated a $20 million deal with Spotify following the release of Megan’s podcast series Archetypes.

On Tuesday night, Prince Harry was seen on the red carpet hugging Ziggy Marley, the 55-year-old musician and son of Bob and Rita Marley, who produced One Love.

It’s unclear why Harry and Meghan were there, although the film showcases British talent: Londoners Kingsley Ben-Adir as Bob Marley and Lashana Lynch as Rita Marley, with James Norton playing producer Chris Blackwell.

This is not their first trip to Jamaica.

In 2017, before their November engagement, the couple attended the wedding of Harry’s friend Tom “Skippy” Inskip to Lara Hughes-Young.

And in 2012, Harry traveled to the island nation as part of his Diamond Jubilee tour of the Caribbean, where he was seen dancing with a large crowd to Marley’s hit One Love.

He also met the late musician’s widow, Rita Marley, now 77.

Bob Marley died of cancer in 1981 at the age of 36.

And while they were sunbathing, Harry’s father, King Charles, was preparing for surgery, and Kate Middleton was recovering.

Charles, clutching the steering wheel in thick green wool gloves, was briefly spotted before heading back through the main entrance to his Norfolk estate, where he was greeted by a police officer.

Charles flew back to Sandringham from Scotland on Friday to prepare for his upcoming surgery.

The monarch and his wife flew more than 300 miles in an RAF aircraft from Aberdeen Airport to RAF Marham before driving the final 15 miles.

He was photographed sitting in the back seat of his chauffeur-driven Audi EV.

It comes at a difficult time for the royal family, with the Princess of Wales recovering in hospital after scheduled abdominal surgery and the Duchess of York revealing over the weekend that she has skin cancer.

The Princess of Wales is said to be “doing well” after going under the knife following abdominal surgery at a London clinic near Regent’s Park last week.

She will remain at the exclusive clinic for up to 14 days and is not expected to return to duty until after Easter.

Meanwhile, Sarah, 64, was diagnosed with malignant melanoma – an aggressive form of skin cancer – after having several moles removed during reconstructive surgery following a mastectomy in June.

One of them was diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing further medical examination to ensure that the cancer is detected in its early stages.
