This is the moment showbiz veteran Jimmy Tarbuck crashed his car into a parked car outside his £5.5 million home and drove away from the scene.

Ring doorbell footage showed the 83-year-old man crashing the right side of his two-litre green Lexus into a black car parked in one of south-west London’s most exclusive areas.

The comedian’s two wheels then leave the road and roll over the damaged car, before returning to the road and narrowly missing a second car parked behind him.

As a result of the impact, the stationary car was thrown a couple of meters down the curb and stopped right in front of a large tree.

Liverpool-born Tarbuck was caught on camera driving his car away from the scene, leaving behind wreckage.

Mr Tarbuck failed to appear at Lavender Hill Magistrates’ Court yesterday where he pleaded guilty to the postal offences.

The court heard the collision happened in Coombe Gardens, New Malden, near Tarbuck’s home in Coombe Park, Kingston upon Thames, a private gated community.

He pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention; failed to stop after the accident and failed to report the May 15 incident.

Tarbuck was fined £716, costs of £110 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £286.

His clean driving license was endorsed by five demerit points.

Prosecutor Laura-Ann Harding told the court the incident happened at approximately 3.30pm: “The accused drove the vehicle without due care and attention.

“They collided violently with stationary vehicles, causing serious damage, and at the same time there was an accident with another vehicle, a Vauxhall Corsa, and they failed to stop when required and give their name and address.

“Several vehicles were hit and one rolled forward three houses. No one was injured because all the cars were parked and empty at the time.”

Judges were shown footage from the Ring doorbell which showed Tarbuck slowly being dragged along the Vauxhall Corsa next to his car and then continuing away from the scene.

The footage shows the 83-year-old man crashing the right side of a 2.0-litre green Lexus into a black car parked in one of south-west London's most exclusive areas.
