More than 40 pro-Palestinian protesters are arrested at Senate office building while activists CHAIN themselves to the White House fence to demand a ceasefire in Gaza

Several dozen pro-Palestinian protesters were arrested and escorted from the Senate office building on Monday after they lay on the ground and demanded that Congress end its support for Israel in the fight against Hamas terrorists.

Wearing shirts that read “Not in Our Name,” elderly Jewish demonstrators sat with their hands clasped on a cold and windy day in Washington, D.C., to demand the president stop giving funds to ally Israel.
On Monday, outside Hart’s office, protesters held a huge banner that read: “‘Help’ Israel = Bombing Palestinians.” Another smaller sign read: “Stop arming Israel.”
Elderly Jewish women also held hands as they chained themselves to the White House fence just hours before the annual White House Hanukkah party to protest helping Israel defend against Hamas.

The building’s large, black, angular Alexander Calder sculpture became part of the protest when pro-Palestinian activists draped a Palestinian flag over it, along with a banner of a dove holding an olive branch. “The people choose life,” the banner reads.
Congress is suspended as it considers legislation that would approve a new package this week to help Ukraine and Israel fight their wars.
President Joe Biden has repeatedly said the United States stands with Israel and will continue to provide aid and assistance where needed. But far-left progressive lawmakers have fought back, saying Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
But pro-Israel right-wing activists say they are defending themselves only against Hamas terrorists operating outside the Gaza Strip.
