Police are looking for a middle-aged couple who hurled racist abuse at bar staff when they were asked to leave a Wetherspoon pub.

The pair were heard shouting racial abuse at staff working at the Buck Inn in Northallerton, North Yorkshire.

On January 22, they were asked to leave the premises, but became aggressive, the police said.

Police say they are treating this as an offense and hate crime.

North Yorkshire Police have released images to the public as part of their investigation.

The couple are said to be in their 50s and 60s. After departure, they got into a dark vehicle.

Police have released CCTV images of a man and a woman they want to speak to in connection with the attack.

They believe the couple may have information that could help police in their investigation.
