Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel says she would never return to reality TV as her teenage daughter is ’embarrassed’ by her fame: ‘Children are traumatised’

Bethenny Frankel has revealed that her time as a reality TV star is “embarrassing” for her teenage daughter.

The Real Housewives of New York City star says 13-year-old Bryn is not a fan of the show that made her mother famous, and as a result, she won’t be returning to the reality show.

“I watch reality TV through a different lens because my daughter is embarrassed,” the 43-year-old says in the magazine’s new issue. Star magazine.

“There’s no world I’d go back to because she thinks it’s trashy.”

Bethany went on to say that children who appear on reality TV can be “traumatized” by the experience.

“People in power can be very persuasive, which is why there are so many children and spouses on reality TV,” she said.

“They don’t want to be on the show and they get chewed up and spat out in the process. As they get older, they become awkward.

“They are traumatized. They have emotional problems. This is something you didn’t know you signed up for.”

Frankel appeared in the latest episode of Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace? about Max earlier this year and expressed similar sentiments.

During the segment, she spoke to the CNN anchor about her views on reality and reflected on the eight years she spent starring on the Bravo series.

She said becoming a mother has changed her perspective on reality TV.

“I think as a mother who has a 13-year-old daughter, I look through a different lens now than when I started.”

Bethany gave birth to daughter Bryn with her ex-husband Jason Hoppy in 2010.
