Piers Morgan has ridiculed Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag after Cristiano Ronaldo posted a photo of himself and Conor McGregor on Instagram.
The Portuguese football sensation and the UFC superstar were seen sitting next to each other during the Day of Reckoning boxing tournament in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night.
McGregor and Ronaldo chatted and joked during the event, with Anthony Joshua scoring a convincing win over Otto Wallin and Deontay Wilder being beaten by Joseph Parker via unanimous decision.
After the fight night, Ronaldo posted a photo of him and McGregor in hysterics on his social media account, with the Instagram caption: “Best caption wins!”
Morgan, who interviewed the five-time Ballon d’Or winner ahead of his explosive departure from Manchester United in 2022, subsequently took to Instagram to offer his caption, writing: “Remember when Ten Hag said I was the problem in “Manchester United”… .’

Morgan mocked United manager Erik ten Hag after he sacked Ronaldo following their 2022 row.
It has been well documented that Ronaldo and the Dutch manager fell out in his final days at Old Trafford, with the 38-year-old admitting he has “no respect for Ten Hag”.
