Republican congressman says he confronted former aide at Christmas party when he threatened to expose his 27-year-old daughter’s OnlyFans account
A Republican congressman who was caught on camera at a holiday party in Washington, D.C., yelling at a former staffer said he did so because an aide was trying to expose his 27-year-old daughter’s OnlyFans account.
Rep. Brandon Williams, who represents upstate New York, pointed the finger at former chief of staff Michael Gordon in a heated confrontation outside the International Spy Museum during a holiday gathering hosted by a lobbying firm.
Williams told Gordon: “Fuck my family, I’m going to end all your relationships.”
The lawmaker told Politico Friday. that two former employees, Gordon and Ryan Sweeney, who were his legislative affairs director, threatened to turn him in to his daughter for having an OnlyFans account, where users can create sexually explicit material, after Williams fired them.
Gordon “was trying to influence me in some way,” Williams said, “and I just won’t let that happen.”
Rep. Brandon Williams, R-New York, said he got into a heated argument at a holiday party in D.C. with a former staffer because an aide tried to expose his 27-year-old daughter’s OnlyFans account.
Williams said that it was Sweeney who filmed his confrontation with Gordon.
Sweeney then told his former boss, “Hey, fuck you!” Guess what, bitch? All I have to do is pay $7 to see your daughter stick a phone up her pussy!”
Gordon told Politico that “the allegations made against me by Congressman Williams are categorically false” and declined further comment.
Sweeney also denied the allegations, telling Politico they were “completely false.”
In the video, Gordon told Williams, “I didn’t do anything.”
Williams then pressed closer to Gordon and shouted, “Do you understand me?” Do you think I don’t know?
A spokesman for Williams initially responded to the release of the video, shot by a Syracuse student journalist, by saying that the fired aides “made rude comments about female members of the congressman’s family.”
Williams can be seen pointing the finger at Michael Gordon, his former chief of staff, who he told Politico in an interview published Friday was a “deeply broken man.”
During the confrontation, which was filmed by another fired Williams aide, Gordon said he didn’t know why the congressman was upset. The New York Republican said Gordon threatened to publish his daughter’s OnlyFans account and told other Hill aides about it.
“These individuals were spreading stories to the media, and one of them physically pushed a congressman at a holiday event (edited from video),” the spokesperson said. “As a former nuclear submarine officer known for his temperament and poise, tonight should be a lesson for everyone to never go after the family of this naval nuclear weapon.”
Williams told Politico that after he gave Gordon 30 days to find a new job, the outgoing chief of staff contacted a GOP campaign consultant close to the lawmaker.
That consultant, Aaron Evans, told the news site that in recent weeks he conveyed Gordon’s warning to the New York Republican – that he should consider how embarrassing it would be for his family if TMZ found out about his daughter’s OnlyFans account.
Williams said that in the days before the Spy Musuem incident, he heard from other aides that Gordon was telling congressional staffers about his daughter’s OnlyFans account.
He also “said very rude things about my wife,” Williams told Politico.
Gordon lived with Williams during his congressional campaign, and they also lived together when Williams came to Washington.
Williams is in his first term.
The congressman described his former chief of staff as a “deeply broken man.”
Williams was one of the New York Republican lawmakers who called for the resignation of Rep. George Santos.
After Santos was expelled from Congress last week, the former New York lawmaker called on the House Ethics Committee to investigate Williams over the behavior shown in the video.
Williams represents a key swing district and is one of Democrats’ top targets in 2024 to regain control of the House.
