Selling Sunset star Christine Quinn accuses estranged husband Christian Richard of child abuse as she asks court for full custody of their two-year-old in nasty divorce

Christine Quinn accused her estranged husband Christian Richard of child abuse, in court documents filed Monday.

The Selling Sunset alum, 35, is asking the court to grant her full custody of the couple’s two-year-old son, Christian Richard Dumontet, Page six reported Tuesday.

Quinn said in court documents that Richard ‘committed domestic violence and child abuse’ against her and their son, according to the magazine.

The tech entrepreneur, 45, filed for divorce earlier this month citing “irreconcilable differences” after he was arrested for domestic violence at their marital home on March 19.

TheWSTNews.com has contacted Richard’s lawyer for comment on the story.

In her filing Monday, Quinn explained the circumstances behind her contacting police last month when she accused Richard of throwing a bag containing a glass bottle at her that hit their son.

‘I reported these abuses to the police,’ she said, ‘because they were true and because I feared for our safety.’

Police told Page Six that ‘the suspect threw a bag containing a glass bottle at the victim, missing the victim but striking the victim’s child, causing injury.’

The toddler was treated for injuries at a nearby hospital, a separate source told Page Six.

Quinn said she hopes to take their son to her home state of Texas if she gets full legal and physical custody, the outlet reported, citing court documents, and that Richard will be “restricted from any visitation with” their son.

Quinn told the court that last week Richard had tried to manipulate and mislead her and her lawyers by claiming that his mother, Nancy Dumontet, had suffered a heart attack.

Quinn told the court that Nancy Dumontet ‘did not suffer a heart attack’ and Richard had tried ‘to take advantage of a family member’s fake medical condition … to manipulate me, my lawyers and even his own lawyers’.

Quinn said in legal documents: “I am extremely concerned that Christian will go to the necessary lengths, including great emotional manipulation, as a means of monitoring my activity while the restraining order is in effect.”

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ April 5 Richard asks for sole legal and physical custody of their two-year-old son Christian, with only visitation rights for Quinn.

He also asked the court to suspend the reality TV personality’s ability to seek spousal support and is not requesting alimony from her. There did not appear to be any explicit mention of a preup in his filing.

According to the paperwork, Richard is asking the court to help them divide their assets and property; and also asked that any of his income earned since their separation be listed as solely his own. As for the date of separation, he reported that it was ‘to be determined’.

The now separated couple have been married since 2019 and share one son.

Richard was arrested on March 19 for assault with a deadly weapon when he allegedly threw a recycled glass bottle at Quinn but hit their two-year-old son.

He has since disputed this version of events, calling them “lies” when he claimed he threw a garbage bag containing paper towels and dirty rags at the wall.

The former couple – who tied the knot in 2019 – have also filed dueling temporary restraining orders against Quinn.

A hearing scheduled for Wednesday will determine whether the temporary restraining order will be turned into a permanent one. Quinn told the court that Richard has changed security codes at the home, leaving her and their “two-year-old son out of our house in violation of both orders.”

Quinn obtained a temporary protection order after the first arrest, but Richard still showed up at their marital home the following night and was arrested again, according to an LAPD spokesman.

It has also been reported that the police had been called 18 times to her home in the past five years, according to US Weekly.

Richard is no longer allowed in the former couple’s marital home and is prohibited from threatening, stalking and/or assaulting her.

In court documents, she made explosive allegations against him when she requested the temporary restraining order.

She claimed the couple experienced money problems that caused their relationship to crumble.

She alleged that during an outburst the day before the arrest, her husband peed on the floor and threw dog feces at her.

She also maintained that Richard threw decorative metal objects at her during the same argument.

When the alleged incident occurred, Quinn decided to end her relationship with Richard, according to the court documents.

She was reportedly packing her belongings the next morning when another confrontation with Richard took place – the one that prompted his initial arrest.

The latest legal development comes on the heels of claims that the estranged couple’s marital problems have been going on for months.

An insider close to the couple revealed that Quinn ‘felt insecure for a while’ and claimed he even went so far as to fake a suicide attempt to ‘test her love’.

“Christine has felt controlled by Christian throughout their relationship,” a source said Us Weekly last in March.
