Sen. Lindsey Graham warns threat of another 9/11-level attack is GROWING ‘every day’ under Biden

  • Senator Graham warned there was a growing threat of a 9/11-level terrorist attack.
  • “To President Biden: Under your leadership, the post-9/11 environment is better than I have ever seen…The threat level to America is at an all-time high.”
  • This comes amid turmoil in the US following the Hamas attack on Israel and the opening of borders allowing potential national security threats to enter the country illegally.

Sen. Lindsey Graham says the threat of another 9/11-style attack has never been greater thanks to President Joe Biden’s dovish foreign affairs policy.

The South Carolina Republican noted that Biden’s FBI director, Christopher Wray, had issued warnings about the current threat levels facing the homeland, and Graham criticized the president for failing to secure enough border security to prevent high-profile individuals from crossing the border undetected. risk.

Hamas terrorists attacked Israel on October 7, resulting in the largest single-day massacre of Jews since the Holocaust and the ensuing months-long conflict. It also increased tensions and raised concerns about an attack on US soil.

“To President Biden, the post-9/11 environment in your presidency is better than I’ve ever seen since 9/11,” Graham told Fox News on Wednesday. “According to your own FBI Director, the threat to America is at an all-time high. He sees flashing lights everywhere.”

“Since October 7, when we helped Israel after the barbaric Hamas attack, every jihadist group in the world has been calling on its members to attack us here at home,” he added. “The border has been breached – more than 9,000 people a day are crossing the border. It’s not sustainable.”

“The likelihood of another 9/11 event increases every day.”

Senator Graham opposes some of the more populist members of his party who are reluctant to send more aid to Ukraine, but still criticizes Biden for not standing up to Russian President Vladimir Putin before the invasion nearly two years ago.

The US has already sent about $75 billion in military aid to Kyiv so far, but Biden wants to send more and is combining that with a massive $100 billion package that includes combined aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan.

“If we give up on Ukraine, we will have a bigger war,” Graham said, but added: “The last person I would want to lecture about Ukraine is Joe Biden.”

Biden has been criticized for ignoring problems on the southern border while pushing for more aid to Ukraine to defend its borders against Russia after the February 2022 invasion.

While Graham told Martha McCallum on The Story that he agrees with the need for increased security at the border, he also agrees with Biden that aid needs to be sent to Ukraine.

“If President Biden had given Ukraine the weapons it needed early on, they would have done even better than they did today,” he said. “He was in no hurry to give them tanks, he didn’t want to give them F-16s, he didn’t want to give them long-range artillery.”

“He could have stood up to Putin before the invasion, but he was afraid of provocation,” the South Carolina senator said.

But he insisted, “We’re not going to help Ukraine until we help ourselves,” saying the focus must be on securing borders and preventing threats of terrorist attacks on the homeland.

Graham, a longtime friend of Biden, said he warned the president when he was elected that reversing all of Donald Trump’s policies would cause the federal government to “lose control of the border.”
