Shocking moment orthodox Jewish man is punched in the head by thug on a bike in North London in latest ‘antisemitic’ assault in the capital – as police hunt attacker
This is the shocking moment a thug on a bike in North London hit an Orthodox Jew on the head in the latest “anti-Semitic” attack in the capital.
CCTV footage posted on social media showed the man speeding along the pavement in Stamford Hill before colliding with the Jewish man and stopping.
The bandit then grabs the victim by the collar, then punches him in the face and pushes him away.
The biker then rides off and members of the public help the man who has just been attacked.
People on X reacted to the video posted online, with one saying: “Literally disgusting. I hope they find this man.
Another said: “Turn this hateful man over to the police.”
The ordeal comes after a pro-Palestinian crowd carrying racist placards said during a rally yesterday that the Labor Party is “Zionist” and “racist”.
CCTV footage posted on social media showed a man racing along a pavement in Stamford Hill before colliding with and apparently assaulting a Jewish man.
Protesters chanted “Labour Party, Zionist Party” and “Labour Party, Racist Party” at a demonstration near Westminster Bridge in central London.
The crowd reportedly followed Labor Party representatives into the area and continued to protest while they were at the rally.
The protest is the latest in weeks of pro-Palestinian demonstrations in the capital. While protests across the UK have been largely peaceful, they have been marred by anti-Semitic chants and placards from some demonstrators.
The anger at Labor comes just days after the pro-Palestinian activist got into a tense row with Sir Keir Starmer, during which the party leader was questioned over his position on the Gaza crisis.
Last night at the rally, one of the posters said: “Coconuts get paid.” Men, women and Gaza are committed.”
Another said: “No votes for genocide supporters,” signaling the protester’s dissatisfaction with the opposition’s response to the bloodshed in the Gaza Strip.
The Labor Party has been sharply split over the crisis, which has killed more than 18,000 Palestinians, according to the Hamas-run health ministry.
The biker then rides off and members of the public help the man who has just been attacked.
Several Labor MPs responded by calling for a ceasefire, which went against the party line.
Meanwhile, the Metropolitan Police came under fire after telling protesters in Trafalgar Square to stop waving Israeli flags because it was a “heritage site”, despite the square having hosted several pro-Palestinian rallies in recent weeks.
In a video posted online by campaign group Taking a Look at Antisemitism, an officer can be heard telling a protester to take the flag “off the wall” in front of the National Gallery before being challenged by someone filming the exchange.
In the two-minute clip, a Met constable says: “You’re not supposed to be here because it’s a protected heritage site, so you need a license to be here and do what you do.”
“First of all, you didn’t have one, and we were kind enough to let you stay here, okay?”
The person who filmed the video claims the officer became “nervous” after someone shouted “Free Palestine” – and notes that the square has been the site of many pro-Palestinian rallies over the past two months.
