Simon Jordan claims Man United’s players ‘don’t have the BALLS’ to create a toxic dressing room and are a ‘weak version’ of what the club requires, after Scott McTominay insisted the team remain behind Erik ten Hag

Simon Jordan has criticized Manchester United’s lack of players, saying it is the only reason their dressing room has not yet become toxic.

The Red Devils suffered their 11th defeat of the season on Saturday when they were beaten 3-0 at home by Bournemouth.

United midfielder Scott McTominay admitted ahead of today’s Champions League clash with Bayern Munich that the dressing room has become toxic in the past but insisted the players give their full support to under-fire manager Erik ten Hag.

Jordan believes that is likely to be the case, but only because the United player lacked the courage to cause problems.

“I don’t think they have the character to have a toxic dressing room,” he told talkSPORT on Tuesday. “I don’t think they have the courage to do this. They certainly don’t copy the character on the field.

“Words are easy, aren’t they? McTominay comes out and says the right things. His performance on Saturday was terrible after his performance earlier in the week was very commendable.

“I don’t agree with him. I don’t think this group of players has the courage or character to create a toxic locker room. I just think they are all weak versions of what Manchester United need.

Despite United’s fierce criticism, Jordan still believes they have a chance of reaching the Champions League knockout stages by beating Bayern tonight.

Ten Hag’s men must beat the German giants and hope for a draw in the other group match between Copenhagen and Galatasaray to progress.

Bayern are already through to the last 16 and Jordan believes they may have taken their attention off the ball, which could open the door for United, but he doesn’t think they deserve to progress from their group.

Bayern Munich have just lost 5-1, so their minds are clearly elsewhere. “For Bayern Munich, there’s nothing in this game other than bringing Harry Kane back to England and maybe scoring a goal for a team that might want his services,” Jordan continued.

Jordan believes Erik ten Hag's side still have a chance to reach the knockout stages of the Champions League as he believes Bayern Munich have other things on their minds.

“I wouldn’t say United could get such a weak result. They don’t deserve to go through this group. There is nothing about Manchester United’s performance in this group that you would call ‘admirable’.

“They got away with it at home against Copenhagen, they lost to Copenhagen, they lost to Galatasaray, they had their heads handed to them in the most one-sided game with a score of 4-3. You could imagine Bayern Munich and they There’s a group of players who, in my opinion, don’t measure up to the people who used to be at Manchester United.

“If Munich likes it, see you later, Manchester United.” If Munich don’t do it and they’re out and United might be worried about turning up, and if they drop Rashford, who might like it tonight, perhaps Martial will do us all a favor and turn up.

“Maybe Fernandes can show us in 15 seconds what leadership looks like and Maguire can defend like he has done in recent weeks, then maybe Manchester United will get through this qualifying group.”
