Irina Shayk and Cindy Crawford are among the supermodels mourning the death of fashion designer Roberto Cavalli.
The legendary designer died on Friday at the age of 83 after a long illness.
“It is with deep regret and great sadness that the Roberto Cavalli Maison participates in the death of its founder Roberto Cavalli,” the company wrote in a statement.
“From humble beginnings in Florence, Mr. Cavalli managed to become a globally recognized name loved and respected by all.”
Those who paid tribute to the fashion icon spoke of his talent and his kindness.
Irina Shayk, 38, was one of many models and actresses to mourn the passing of designer Roberto Cavalli, who died on Friday aged 83 after a long illness.
Shayk, 38, posted a photo of herself wearing a sheer black dress as the fashion icon wrapped his arm around her waist from what appeared to be an after party.

Cindy Crawford, 58, shared throwback photos from previous work with Cavalli. One was from a red carpet, the other from the runway.
‘So sad to hear of the passing of my dear friend @roberto_cavallis. You will be missed,’ she wrote on snap.
“He brought boldness and color to his fashion and I have always felt beautiful in his art,” she captioned the runway photo.
Cavalli was known for his love of using fur and animal prints in his designs.
‘I love nature. Animals have the best dresses. God made them so well-dressed,’ he explained his fondness.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals eventually convinced him to use only faux fur by 2022.
