Terrifying moment family is targeted in road rage attack as driver pelts objects at their car on a Queensland highway

Footage has captured a terrifying road rage incident after a motorist and passenger hurled objects at the family’s car on a major motorway.

The shocking incident happened on the Pacific Highway in Queensland just after 10am on Tuesday.

The dash cam recorded the moment when the driver and his passenger in a silver Mazda began throwing objects at the car in front of them.

Objects do not seem to hit the rear of the vehicle.

The driver of the car was then seen driving dangerously into the right lane before the male passenger, who was shirtless, gestured towards the other motorist.

Minutes later, the Mazda was seen passing several vehicles before the car took off.

The driver and relatives in the car shared video of the incident on Facebook, warning other motorists to be careful.

“Please beware of this couple, my four year old was in the car when this happened,” the motorist wrote.

The road incident is believed to have started at the roundabout at Eagleby, about 34 kilometers southeast of Brisbane.

The family was attacked by the couple at a nearby Ampol petrol station.

“They were the first behind me and started screaming because I couldn’t move forward because of the approaching cars…” the motorist said.

The motorist noticed that the Mazda driver lost patience even before the car entered the intersection.

The two vehicles then crossed paths while heading south on the highway.

The driver of the Mazda was reported to the police, but the vehicle registration and the car itself were not found in their system.
