It comes after Sunday night’s Bachelors Australia premiere drew just 224,000 metro viewers, marking the lowest premiere audience in the franchise’s history.

The dating show, which changed its format to three suitors instead of one, was one of the least watched programs of the night.

By comparison, 60 Minutes was watched by 485,000 viewers and David Attenborough’s Planet Earth III was watched by 336,000.

This result represents a sharp 27 percent decline from the last Bachelor finale, which aired in January.
