Scottie Scheffler was left speechless after watching the dramatic climax to Bryson DeChambeau’s chaotic third round at The Masters.
At the end of a wild couple of hours of Augusta action, Scheffler carded a one-under-par 71 to give himself a one-shot heading into Sunday’s final round.
He had begun the day moving along with DeChambeau at the top of the leaderboard, only for the LIV Rebel to shoot a three-over-par 75 on Saturday.
After going one-over-par over the front nine, DeChambeau threatened to implode. He made bogeys on 11 and 12 and then, after a birdie on 14, unraveled on the par-five 15th.
He found the trees and then the creek before finally carding a double bogey. A three-putt bogey followed on the 16th.

But DeChambeau then hit a shot back in dramatic fashion on the final hole. After a wayward drive into the trees, he was forced to hack the ball back into the fairway. From 77 yards, the 30-year-old then landed his approach a few feet from the flag and watched the ball roll into the hole.
Scheffler was waiting to be interviewed when he saw the shot on television. His hilarious reaction was caught on camera.
The world No. 1’s mouth dropped open and he was soon to say ‘wow’. Birdie saw DeChambeau move back to three under par.
The 2020 US Open champion now sits in fifth place – four shots behind Scheffler – heading into the final round. Collin Morikawa (-6), Max Homa (-5) and Ludvig Aberg (-4) sit between DeChambeau and the captain.
