Santacon is a non-profit, non-political, non-religious and nonsensical Christmas parade traditionally held in London every Saturday in December. The parade originated in San Francisco.
The website’s “Don’t be ‘that’ Santa” section recommends picking up trash, waiting to use the restroom at designated pit stops and “being reasonable.”
The website says: “There’s no particular reason to dress up in Santa suits, run around, give gifts, sing songs, have strangers sit on our laps and decide who’s naughty or nice.” But it’s a lot of fun, so Santa does it anyway!”
It says to bring: a Santa outfit, something warm and possibly waterproof, sheets for carols and gifts for the kids.
