The tragic life and shock death of a porn star: How Sophie Anderson went from innocent schoolgirl dreaming of acting fame while bringing up her sister after her mum walked out on them – but lost herself in deadly world of massage parlours and online sex

At the age of five, it may have been the single heartbreaking moment that forever defined the life of tragic porn actress Sophie Anderson.

Born in Bristol, where her hardworking father owned several houses, she lived in a stereotypical middle-class family with her sister and mother.

But one day in 1992, her world collapsed forever when a strong loving union was torn apart.

Sophie’s mother announced that she was leaving them and their home.

It turned their lives upside down and the model, who died on Monday aged 36, later said she thought it happened “because there were other men more attractive than me and my sister”.

The split left her deeply hurt, as she later admitted that she “idolized her mother.”

Sophie Anderson has spoken movingly about the abuse she suffered at the hands of her own mother.

Her wayward parent, who has since died, came in and out of her life and caused what she called “mental abuse.”

It was a far cry from her father, who Sophie says did everything to support her and her sister as single parents.

Then, when she was ten years old, she was enrolled in a local drama school and was destined for great things. By this point, she was essentially raising her younger sister while her father worked around the clock to provide for them.

She described performing as “her salvation” as she played different roles for her peers while impressing the adults.

But her happiness was short-lived.

Her father met a new partner and the family moved to Bradford-on-Avon in Wiltshire.

Sophie’s mother managed to win the right to see her on weekends, and she could come visit her. She had so little money that her father took food with him when he took her out.

She said she knew something was wrong when she arrived one day and saw several men waiting for her in the house. They were pedophiles.

In 2022, Sophie said: “These guys really shamed me about my weight. I was actually overweight for a baby.

“I would like these older men to insult me. I’ll have to watch my mom have sex. These guys would have embarrassed me then.

“I remember certain moments and how they touched me. It was never full sex, it was always touching, otherwise I would have had to kiss them. She was in the bedroom.

“I think that’s why I could never forgive my mother. You will let these people. Now I feel guilty because I didn’t communicate with her before she died of cancer.

“My mother then bought me clothes that were too small. She had anorexia.

“She would do little mental things like put me in front of the mirror and say, ‘Look at the condition you’re in, you’re so fat and ugly.’

“I didn’t like her as a person growing up, but then she died, so I have a lot of guilt too,” she said on James English’s Anything Goes podcast.

She said the illicit encounters led her to try to find men to have sex with her.

Using a computer, she contacted many men and went out for a “vacation.”

Around this time, she developed such severe anorexia that she refused to drink even a drop of water.

One day she fainted at school and was so severe that she even tried to lift the weight off her toes.

That’s when she started going to a pub in Bradford on Avon, where men would buy her cigarettes, alcohol and cannabis for sexual favors.

Last year she added: “I started working in a massage parlor when I was 14. So while I was trying to play and see women on the street and fuck men, I was then in a massage parlor getting paid. .

“The massage parlor at the time didn’t ID you, it wasn’t until they started tightening it up that (we needed) your ID, so I didn’t really do much of that, so I used my money mostly for drinks and stuff like that.

“When (my son) was born, we were in and out of the dorms. I didn’t have any food or anything then.”

Her long history of eating disorders was temporarily overcome during her first pregnancy, and she said it was “the only time I didn’t feel guilty about putting on weight” by eating salmon and other nutritious foods. to help your child develop.

Breaking into tears, she said: “It’s not even my story that upsets me. It’s literally because if I knew that somebody had to go through anything or any kind of violence, like beating, mental abuse or something like that, that’s what kills, you know.”

Anderson’s big break came at age 29 in 2017, after she had children, when she entered the world of online pornography. She formed a humorous “shit buster” alliance with porn star Rebecca More.

She quickly gained thousands of followers and became one of the few adult models to become famous in the mainstream.

Anderson’s obvious warmth in interviews and social media posts, as well as her support for HIV and LGBTQ+ charities, meant that she was much loved by fans and other celebrities.

Anderson, who lived in Slough, Berkshire, met former Palace academy player Oliver Spedding on set almost four years ago and the pair began a relationship.

Spedding told a co-star he couldn’t stop thinking about Sophie after the scene ended and called her his “soulmate.”

In March 2021, Anderson suffered one of the biggest setbacks of her career when her breast implant exploded in the shower after contracting sepsis for the fourth time, leaving her fearing her career was over.

She told The Star: “The most important thing is that the NHS saved my life. The doctors told me that I was lucky and could have died. I still feel completely lost and just want everything to be okay. I have to stay strong for my family.”

She later underwent major reconstructive surgery.

But she was left deeply unhappy with the results, describing her reconstructed breasts as “Bigfoot’s legs” in a separate video, where she also revealed she was in hospital battling sepsis.

Speaking about the ordeal, she called Spedding her “rock” and praised him for helping her get through her “darkest days.” He died just a few weeks ago, the cause of death has not been revealed.

Anderson’s former co-star Rebecca More, whose real name is Rebekah Jones and who is also a mother of four, announced her death on Instagram on Monday evening.

More wrote: “I am devastated to hear the terrible news of Sophie’s passing. We shared some great times together and that is how I will remember her.

“A playful, funny, kind-hearted soul who was outrageous on the outside, yet so gentle behind closed doors. We were very close and had a crazy time together that was completely unique to us.

“This is how I will remember her. It’s so tragic, but I know you are at peace now. I will always love you and have a special place in my heart.”

Anderson’s last Instagram post, posted three weeks ago, was a selfie with the caption: “You come home to your wife after a hard day at work.”

Her last post with boyfriend Spedding in August was about an adult competition show the couple competed in.

“Please look at their website and vote for us,” Anderson said.

“We really appreciate your love and support.”

Meanwhile, Spedding’s released a Halloween-themed video featuring Anderson.
