Tiffany Haddish Arrested for DUI After Allegedly Falling Asleep While Driving in Beverly Hills

Tiffany Haddish has been arrested for drunken driving for the second time in two years, Us Weekly can confirm.

Several media outlets reported that the comedian, 43, was stopped by Beverly Hills, California, police officers on Friday, November 24, where she was handcuffed and escorted into the back of their car.

According to TMZ, which first reported the news, law enforcement received a call about a person who had been stopped in the middle of Beverly Drive and was apparently sleeping while the car continued to move. When officers arrived on scene, they arrested Haddish for driving under the influence. According to TMZ, she is expected to be released later on Friday.

Haddish performed just hours earlier at the Laugh Factory in West Hollywood for a special Thanksgiving set. The venue had hosted its 43rd annual free party for locals.

After the show ended, Haddish went out to celebrate. She posted images of herself dancing at the Yachtley Crew concert on Thursday, November 23, on Instagram.

‘What is it, everyone? Now I’m in Inglewood [and I’m] trying to go to the Habesha party,” she joked in a follow-up video Thursday evening. “I’m trying to put on my East African. You know, I partied with the white people. Now I try to party with my East Africans, but they won’t let me into the club. They don’t let the hot dish in.”

Haddish was previously arrested for driving under the influence in January 2022. Us confirmed at the time that local officers in Atlanta responded to a call of someone asleep at the wheel. The actress was fined for driving under the influence and improper stopping on the roadway. She was released several hours later after posting $1,666 bail.

“I prayed to God to send me a new husband. A good man. And God went ahead and sent me four…in uniform,” Haddish joked during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon later that month, also joking about her breakup with Common. ‘And now I have a very good lawyer, and we will work it out together. I need to make my asking for things from God a little better!”
