TJ Holmes has broken his silence on the relationship between him and ex Amy Robach after it was revealed they were dating.

The former Good Morning America host said he “won’t applaud the headlines” after an affair between his ex-wife Marilee Fiebig and Robach’s ex-husband, Andrew Shue, surfaced.

In an episode of the “Amy and TJ” podcast, Holmes opened up about the budding relationship, saying he “don’t read the headlines” but wouldn’t get caught up in “back-and-forth games.”

The couple’s new podcast comes a year after their secret relationship was revealed. Holmes told listeners that the show “will not be about gossip.”

“We won’t applaud the headlines,” he said. “We are not going to engage in two-sided games because gossip is toxic.

“We are here, we are happy, we are healthy, we are grateful, we are moving forward and upward.”

After the affair was initially revealed, it was revealed that TJ was having relationships with other ABC employees.

Homes said he “absolutely expected” increased interest in his ex-wife’s new relationship given the uproar when his affair with Robach was exposed.

Holmes said he wouldn’t engage in “back and forth” but insisted he and Robach were “happy and healthy” following the messages.

An insider said Fiebig and Shue’s relationship is the real deal and is “bigger” than Robach and Holmes’s, while the pair of former news anchors also appear to have taken their relationship to the next level.

On January 27, Holmes and Robach were officially fired from ABC News due to the relationship. The two spoke of their devastation, with Holmes revealing how he spent the day “drinking vodka” and “eating too much food” after being sacked.

But they insisted they never cheated and claimed they were both in divorce proceedings before they began the affair.

After the couple was taken off air, Robach said they were both threatened and people followed them outside their home.

The relationship between Fiebig and Shue became public almost a year later, with insiders confirming that they had grown close following their exes’ scandalous affair.

On Friday, the two were pictured in his green Jeep Wrangler before heading out for the weekend.

Fiebig, an attorney, reportedly settled her divorce from Holmes in October 2023, while former football star and actor Shue, best known for his role as Billy Campbell, finalized his split in March.

Holmes, who has two children from his first marriage, has one child with Fiebig.

Robach and Shue had no children together, but they often praised their “blended family,” as Shue’s three sons were joined by Robach’s two daughters when they tied the knot in 2010.
