Tony Bellew is relieved to hear Everton are out of the relegation zone as the lifelong Toffees supporter meets with his wife, Rachael, in emotional I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here reunion

Tony Bellew was relieved that Everton had climbed out of the Premier League relegation zone after meeting his wife Rachel for a brief reunion in the I’m A Celebrity jungle.

The former WBC heavyweight titleholder is featured in ITV’s latest series of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here, set in Australia, but has been given an update on Everton’s recent positive form.

Bellew is an avid Toffees supporter, originally from Liverpool and always keen to keep up to date with his team’s performance from the blue half of the city.

During his time in the celebrity jungle, Bellew was kept away from the goings-on in the outside world, but was given precious moments with his wife during the show’s most recent episode.

The 41-year-old clashed with other contestants, including Nigel Farage, during his time on the hit ITV series and was visibly excited to see his wife for the first time since appearing on the show.

Tony Bellew was briefed by his wife Rachel on Everton’s recent form during a brief meeting in the I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here jungle.

Bellew was relieved to learn that his beloved Everton had climbed out of the relegation zone.

Bellew was surprised to be led to a quiet part of the filming camp when he turned the corner to find his partner waiting for him.

“The kids miss you,” Rachel told Bellew after the couple hugged.

“I talked to your mom and your dad and they made it all up and they’re all very proud of you.

“Oh, Everton won,” she added. – Are they really? – answered a surprised-looking Bellew.

“Yes, they have left the relegation zone, Corey asked me to tell you this. They beat Newcastle 3-0,” she added.

Everton found themselves in the Premier League relegation zone when Bellew first took his place on the show, with the club docked 10 points for breaking Premier League profit and sustainability rules.

Bellew is a lifelong Everton fan and regularly attends matches at Goodison Park.

However, they have since bounced back with a convincing 3-0 win over Newcastle in midweek that momentarily lifted them out of the drop zone.

His wife was happy to share the news with her husband as the couple shared a brief moment together, with Bellew also tearing up after hearing the news from his children.

Bellew is one of the final four contestants on the celebrity show, joining fellow contestants Josie Gibson, Sam Thompson and Farage.

Meanwhile, Everton will hope they remain above the relegation zone when Sean Dyche’s side host Chelsea at Goodison Park on Sunday.
